Funny, my LG G4 doesn't lag at all.

I installed iOS 9 on an iPhone 6 and an iPad 3 - seemed alright to me.
Maybe compared to the s6 I had before?

It just didn't seem as smooth to me, but they could be due to simply taste and perception rather than actual speed.

Maybe but also, to back you up, I had a G3 and now have a G4.

For the first couple of months, they can be quite hit and miss, and definitely lag sometimes (the G3 definitely did). But after a couple of software updates, the G3 improved and the G4 is pretty much flying now.

The G3 got sold and I got a Z3 Compact, and man that little thing showed me just how much the G3 did actually lag. The LG skin can sometimes get a bit heavy.

Anybody else noticed iOS 9 is seemingly more efficient memory management wise than iOS 8

The Plus seems to lag a hair switching between apps or closing one entirely. Nothing that puts me off, I am not going to get a 6s. I know the benefits of the newer iPhone but the overall side of the Plus will always put me off so I will make do with what I have. The screen on the 6 is too small for my vision issues.

I quick note on physical fitness. I know you climb, Jacob's Ladder is the best cardio climber I ever used.

Cool I'll check that one out. I'm actually climbing Saturday next so very good timing :D
Then 'coastering' & cliff jumping the week after - won't be taking the phone with me on that one :)

No more lag or hiccups then I've ever seen in past versions. The only spot I generally notice any lag is the populating of info on the pull down widgets. If anything, app switching or navigation between the home screen and apps seems maybe a touch quicker. That being said, I've been running the betas since July on both my 6+ and iPad Air 2 and those were prone to he occasional bug or lag. Comparably, both the GM and 9.1 beta I'm running now are noticeably smoother.

And I love seeing so many devs already setting up their apps for multi-window use on my iPad Air 2. I loved the feature's potential on the Note 10.1 I owned for a while but the apps that supported it were quite limited.

Yeah...very true. The iPad is already outclass in the note tablets in the multi window area.

A slight stutter when I open recent apps is all I have to report on my 6+ in terms of upgrade woes. Other than that I am loving iOS 9 more than I had expected. New system font, search page to the left of the home screen, ad blockers, battery status of all my devices in notifications shade, new look of recent apps, new keyboard functionality, settings search... And on and on. Seriously, of all the new versions of iOS I've upgraded to since my 3G, I think this is the one I've loved the most.

Oh, and the little animations when you select and delete words, though a tiny detail, is incredibly sexy.

Can you tell me more about keyboard upgrades in iOS 9?

Well, on iPhone this pretty much consist only of the letters showing in caps when you've pressed shift or caps lock. I know, I know...Android has had it for eons. And I'm the first to admit that Swype on my Note 3 destroys anything an iPhone can do in terms of text input.

But, I find that this particular addition really does away with one of my biggest annoyances with the iPhone keyboard. And since I'm getting quite used to it after one year of iPhone as daily driver (had a two year break when I used 100% Android), this improvement means that the iPhone keyboard is finally getting...closer to actually acceptable (and almost enjoyable to use :p).

A second keyboard improvement that I thought of here although it's iPad exclusive is the two finger cursor move. This one is actually incredibly good, which was a total surprise to me. The iPad has never quite worked for me for real productivity tasks, but with the cursor thing I'm really enjoying it and making the effort to learn how to type fast on it. Finding that again, this typing experience is getting damn close to really acceptable...

Edit: and the new font really makes the iPhone keyboard much nicer to use for me, the letters really stand out much clearer now IMO.

I thought the 6S Plus was thicker than previous 6 Plus ?

I re-ordered couple of spigen cases and it has on them 'suitable for 6S/6 Plus' ....

So in that case, does Apple's leather case for the 6 Plus fit the 6S Plus ?? I have three of them - if I can keep them it will save me €150 ...

I think they're all supposed to still fit since it's tenths of millimetres difference + L0.1, W0.1, D0.2mm. I guess we'll see how good case manufacturers are with tolerances since the best ones should be too small.

I just got shipping number from Fedex for delivery at 9/25 by 4:30 PM.
Shipping from Westchester, Pa to AZ
Ordered from Verizon's website at midnight on 9/12
I am going to try to get it held at Fedex for pickup rather than waiting all day for delivery.

Ordered the Space Gray 64GB 6s Plus

Yeah that's what I'm planning on getting 'when' it eventually launches here ..... :(

Even Samsung can release a phone in Ireland quicker than Apple.. We only have their european HQ and factory here, were only joined at the top with 'Northern Ireland' classed part of the UK, so why would I assume they would release here at same time ??? Silly me.
