IPhone 6S Silver and White 64GB order has been placed. Now to pick a case, Brodit holder and extra charging lead.

Be interesting to see how good it is as Android 6 doesn't mute the volume properly and my Nexus 5 randomly disconnects from Bluetooth in my car for no reason, it is a buggy OS for sure...

I also couldn't care less what chip I get!

I've got the 64GB 6s (Space Gray) with the Samsung chip and couldn't be more pleased. For all the hoopla about the chip and battery, mine has been just fine. No complaints at all. Well, I wish the phone were a little thicker with a larger battery to handle higher resolution, but that is more akin to nitpicking. ;)

Yep. Same here. Getting same battery life as my 6 Plus despite Samsung chip in 6S Plus.

Yeah, it's daft to get worried about it, it's not like Apple never knew the difference in sizes of the chips and the difference in their performance. They would have been FULLY aware of the differences and signed them off as they both met Apple's minimum requirements for battery life and performance etc.

Should get my phone next week, the free delivery is a 5 working day job, not spending more money for faster delivery after that iPhone price!

I have had both chips on a 6s and 6s plus, do yourself a favor and switch to a tsmc fabricated a9.
The 6s Samsung overheated quite a bit, and the tsmc iPhone 6s Plus battery is noticeably longer than the samsung a9.

Just some friendly advice. ;)

I don't doubt your report.

Especially since Apples once world class quality control is not what it was at its peak. I bought two new iPhone 6S models. One overheats, the other doesn't. Both have the Samsung chip. Even more ironic is the phone that sees easy use overheats. Mine gets super heavy use and runs very cool. So I returned the one that overheats. Apple replaced it. Sadly this replacement is just bad so it goes back this weekend.

It's a great way to keep the customer coming back.

And how are you supposed to do that? You have no way of knowing what chip you get, and you can't keep taking the phone back to complain you want the TSMC chip.

Impossible for me to do so. We don't have 14 day return periods or any Apple stores in the country. I would have to return my device for a different fault and chance that it was replaced with a tsmc chip.

Or sell my iPhone 6S Plus and lose money, spend more money repurchasing a new one and hope and pray that the new one is a tsmc.

Essentially - it's not going to happen.

I miss the notification light. It's no deal breaker but I do miss it

However the 6s vibration is very good :D

Having hardware silence toggle again is nice. Makes me able to use hardware buttons strictly for media volume. Way better than the volume situation on Android imo

Having f.lux makes me smile, anything similar I tried on Android just didn't feel right

yep agreed..... Everytime i switch to my iphone i always miss the notification light and the back button right away from Android.
Then when switching to Android I always miss the hardware mute button and the IOS keyboard and battery life from my iphone.
Someday someone is going to blend it all together and have a real game changer.

Actually picked up two iPhone 6s Plus (one gold and one silver) and one iPhone 6s, had issues with the Samsung chip heating up, got a tsmc replacement, but couldn't adjust to the 720p resolution. So returned the 6s and got a slate grey 6s plus.

True.
If I were you, I would swap it for a fault.
Apple is usually much more lenient on replacing phones during the first weeks of release, usually no questions asked.

Anyway good luck.

I think apple is on top of it. There are rumors that apple cancelled some of their Samsung a9 component orders.

Wish you luck on getting a tsmc model.

No idea, but it sucks to be Samsung right now.
I lucked out with my iPhone 6s pluses maybe you will too.

Was impressed with the battery yesterday so I took these snaps before bed. I do have a few things off like background refresh and I rarely use Bluetooth, but Bluetooth is the only thing I micro manage on/off. It was plugged in my pc for about three minutes to sync something, that's why there's the message on the bottom.

no low power mode or anything funky, though I do have some system location services disabled in settings that I do not value.

About 7:15-11:30 and still at 35%

Stoked!

Well I just ordered the 6S plus and gonna give the iPhone another try.
Last year I bought the 6 thinking the new bigger screen would win me back over to iPhones but the 720p(750p) screen was just horrible. So this year I went with the larger screen to see if I can live with 1080p.

Let's hope it makes a difference.

After a full day with the 6S+ there are several things I like coming from a 6, but most of all the battery life is impressive. From full charge at 4:30 this morning to 21% at 7:50 this evening is awesome! I work in a poor signal area and my 6 needed topping off more than once in a day.
