Phone seems to be high on the list, when my wife had particularly bad battery on her 5 one day it said low signal under phone and it was on the top of the list. When you take away the screen time option does it say low signal?

Granted I don't use the phone app a ton,but it's never at the top of the list

I know some are content with their iPhones with Samsung chips but I'm noticing a considerable drain on standby.

I left the phone at 45% of battery last night and woke up this morning to 35%. This can't be normal for a iP6S+, is it? Here's the list of apps running.

Any suggestions?

Yeah thats certainly not normal. I leave mine at 100% at 11pm and by 8am next morning I'm at 99-98%.

How do I take away the screen time option?

Edit: do you mean this?

I'm bummed out about this..

You think if I do a clean install of iOS it could help?

It may. Maybe go into settings / general / background app refresh and then deselect apps you really don't need doing stuff in the background.

See if that improves things.

Then before going a full clean OS install - do a reset settings option and see if that corrects it.

Leave doing clean install to the last. :)

I went ahead and just did a clean install of iOS. Let's see if this fixes the problem.
Really interested to find out your results.
I had a Samsung a9 iPhone 6s, over heating and battery drain led me to return it. Picked up a iohone 6s+ instead, tsmc a9, amazing battery life. Couldn't be happier.
Good luck.

We have 2 identical iphones in my house. Both 6s Plus 64GB SG. One on Verizon with the Samsung chip One on TMO with the TMSC chip. We have done side by side real world usage tests and can not see difference. Neither one overheats and the battery life is pretty much the same with no difference we can see.

Losing 10% overnight

Actually losing 10% overnight is normal

When on 100% mine normally stays on 100% but last nig for example went to bed on 60% and woke up to 49%

Yet I still get 24-35 hours standby on average

I don't get that drop myself at all with neither the 6S+ or the 6+ it replaced.

It depends on when and what % it's on

On average I say I get about 5% per night. I do get a lot of notifications at night also this may be why

Out of interest I just checked and my 6S has the TSMC chip in it. So the manufacture who makes the overheating disaster Snap Dragon 810 CPU made my iPhone CPU, what ever shall I do.........!!!!!

People really need to stop getting so wound up over this.

My intention isn't to start a chip gate discussion, I am genuinely concerned. I did a clean install of iOS and it seems to be fine now but I still have apps to install. Will report back.

My comment wasn't aimed at you sir, just anyone who is worried about this... I think believing it's down to the chip in the device can mask other faults.

You had a genuine fault reading the comments here. Glad you sorted it with a clean OS install, must have been some buggy app perhaps?

Holy crap, just saw this on YouTube. I don't really like screen protectors, but if I were to use one it would be this. It adds 2 shortcut keys to the bottom.

Wow I saw the same thing. That's an amazing screen protector and from someone who only uses naked phones, that's saying something. I might even get one myself since I miss my back button.

My son has one ordered on the way for his 6s +. If it works as advertised I will get one too!!
