We haven't heard about the horrible stock shortage, that will make people nervous and fuel rumor sites and paranoia.

I don’t think stock shortage will be an issue this year, which the only phone that’s been reported to possibly have a shortage, was the 6.1 LCD iPhone. But hopefully Apple has their supplier relations for components under control, which hopefully should be more fruitful for the consumer when the ordering starts.

Yeah, can't wait to watch it live !

OFFTOPIC:
Anyone here watched the nVidia RTX keynote just a few days ago, live ?
It was a snooze fest for me (may be because I'm an AMD fan :p)
Apple's keynotes always been very interesting !

What is it with Nvidias CEO? He always wears big heavy thick leather biker jackets on stage under those spot lights? He’s like hey look at me I’m cool!!
And then he bores you with endless technical specs haha!

As for the new iPhones, I’m more intrigued to see what they launch as I’ll probabky upgrade this year. I’m still hopeful for a new SE though. Also will be interested to see what the new iPads are like, doubt I’ll buy one but you never know.

I do not considerate it as unfortunate, I think of it as keeping everything in perspective. There is more to life than a phone.

That goes without saying.

Upgrading yearly, being excited about getting a new device and living a full, meaningful life are not mutually exclusive. One can be excited about a whole multitude of things simultaneously.

I get excited when I see my savings growing, not Apple's.
I get excited when I have fewer possessions, not more.
I get excited when I free myself from the trap of technology, not become ensnared by it.
I get excited by simplicity, freedom, tranquility, silence, and the time to reflect.
But mostly I get excited by virtue signalling.

I always look forward to a new iPhone release, as I almost always upgrade regardless. However, I am very excited to see what they’re bringing to the table in regards to Apple Watch & IPad.

I hope the phone is all you hope it to be. I'm sorry but to me it's just a phone. Not something I get too excited about. I have to admit when the first iPhone came out and it was something completely different then anything else I was excited. Even stood in line to get one.

Nowadays it seems every year the phone gets tweaked slightly. Get's bigger, get's smaller. Buttons get moved around, headphone jacks and bezels disappear, but still pretty much the same old same old for me.

Yeah want that iPhone X Plus, miss having bigger/wider screen. Also likely going to upgrade to the new iPad Pro and Apple Watch.

Man it's going to be an expensive September haha.

I’m rethinking about ordering the X plus. Think I might wait until next year. I am for sure ordering the
Apple Watch. I have a rose gold Apple Watch that I wanted to hand down to my niece. Been waiting to
see if they were going to change it for this year before buying a black one. Looks like they are, so happy
about that.

I for one don’t have the tingle in my bones excitement anymore. I love my iPhones and am a loyal customer of Apple as their products meet my needs. As I get older I do not feel the need to upgrade as much as if the phone I have suites my need then I am happy. I do though enjoy hearing how others are excited and happy this time of the year when the new phones are released. I think liking new phones and wanting to get one to be a harmless vice unless it is causing someone undue financial hardships because they are buying things they cannot afford.

I'm definitely excited! I typically have upgraded every other year, but I held off last year because I was happy with my 6s and I wanted see the reactions to FaceID and the other X changes. So I've had a long time for the anticipation to build up!

Now I'm just agonizing over whether to get the 5.8 or 6.5 version...I've always opted for the smaller form factor, but there are things about the larger phone that sound tempting. No idea how I will make the decision! I've thought about preordering both and just returning whichever one I don't like.

Looking forward to the upgrade! I'm using a 7+ right now. I'm still trying to decide if the plus model or the regular size version of the upgraded X is what I'll want. I'll have to see final price points to know for sure. I looove the size of the 7+ and I know the display on the X+ would be beautiful, but it can sometimes be a pain to keep in my pocket or in a small bag. I might give the smaller size a try for a few years.

Very

Getting air power and wireless air pods case too lol

I wouldn’t say excited, but I’m looking forward to this year’s release. For me, it’s the most interesting upgrade since I got an iPhone 6 as it will be the first time I’m getting something that will really feel like a new phone.

You can definitely tell it’s getting near when newsfeeds start to flood with all those godawful clickbait Forbes stories. “New iPhone leak reveals Apple’s inner turmoil”. “New iPhone leak reveals Apple’s nasty surprise”. “New iPhone leak confirms everybody’s worst fear”. It’s almost as bad as the Daily Express headlines about Princess Diana.

That's understandable. I don't think anyone does. It's a mature (very) market. It's not just the novelty that's gone, it's just not even that interesting. What we need now, has nothing to do with phones (or Apple, for that matter)

What Makes the phone interesting, is exactly what Apple decides to market. If you look at their marketing, it’s not even about a ‘new phone release’ anymore, it’s about the camera technology, Animoji’s, admitted reality, etc. They’re trying to find features that would appeal to the demographic that would make the iPhone fun and innovative with the technology that it offers.
