We haven't heard about the horrible stock shortage, that will make people nervous and fuel rumor sites and paranoia.

They are late. They need to wake up and start rumors. Jeez. :D

I noticed this as well. Usually we've seen three/four frontage stories about (insert part) not being produced fast enough.

I am, especially if the rumors of Touch ID being available are true. If they announce Touch ID you will see pre-orders through the roof.....

I feel more excited today. I'm more excited today than I was yesterday (not by much, but it's there :D ). It's a slow growth.

Of course reading this thread about excitement may have something to do with it (wish they could change that title though....Oh well :) )

Except, Touch ID has not been rumored for any of the three ‘New’ iPhone models for 2018, so there won’t be any hype behind that, because Touch ID is out. Apple already made that clear during the 2017 Keynote.

Is it me or are alot of people going for the X plus, I was thinking of getting the 5.8 X
I think the X plus is going to be a big seller. There's probably a ton of folks that are coming off the 6/6s/7 plus models that didn't go for the 8plus. I'm guessing they would be in the market for the X plus rather than the 6.1 (due to 2x camera and 'premium' status).

Personally, the X2 is the model that I've been waiting for. My 6 is just about dead and I really didn't want anything larger than that. Plus I want the dual camera. The X would have been fine, but I don't really like to get the 1st version of a new design, besides my 6 was still working OK (at least until I updated to iOS11).

Don't give the short sellers any ammo. They'll point to the lack of "component shortages" as evidence that Apple has cut orders.

It's really a no win situation for AAPL stock. These analysts will point to smooth release day crowds at Apple Store to write a narrative of "zero demand for iPhone X2". If there are huge lines and sellouts, they'll cobble up "iPhone shortage will drive customers to Samsung Note series" stories.

I'm hoping (won't hold my breath) for launch day availability of the SIM-free model. I don't want to buy a carrier model (tired of the which-bands-does-which-carrier-have game), but I don't want to wait a few months either.

Same! I think the wait for sim-free models has been getting better though. It was just a couple weeks for the 7 and a month for the X. The 8 was available at launch. I have a feeling the LCD model will be available at launch and the X models will have a wait. If I’m dropping hundreds of dollars on a phone, I don’t mind waiting for the exact model I want though.

Eh, I haven’t paid very close attention to the rumors this year so I have no idea what to expect. But I always enjoy Apple’s annual dog and pony show.

I am perpetually wondering at each one if this will finally be the year we see the ability to record stereo audio for our videos. Heck, I would settle for improved audio, period. You don’t realize how muffled and murky the sound is until you’ve tried some phones from other manufacturers.

I switched to the Galaxy S9+ in March and I’ve been loving the switch. The flexibility and customizations possible on Android are very freeing. Despite the fact that Android is logically probably the better OS for me, I have a major soft spot for Apple. I grew up on Apple devices and I love their values as a company. I regularly thinking about selling all my devices and switching back to all Apple (iPhone, iPad, Mac). So yes, I’m excited to see if the new iPhone will bring me back to Apple. My wallet is already cringing at the hurt it might go through if I decide to switch back though.

Excited? NO! Curious yes but over the years I have learned I am always disappointed or dismayed so I quit getting excited. Some day I hope to be really surprised.......................................................... SMH, who am I kidding!

I wouldn't switch back immediately. Wait for those trade in offers companies offer where you can get an iPhone much cheaper than other periods. S9+ has plenty of mileage and trade in offer potential (if that is a thing lol).

I lost an X, and am using a 6+ presently. It's ok, but rather sluggish, so the purchase of a new and improved phone, will be exciting.

If you have insurance, use that to avoid having to pay for another phone. See if your credit card company (assuming you used one for the X) offers any protection on lost smartphones.

I don't know about the rest of you but it seems to me like maybe this year there just hasn't been much hype around regarding the new iPhone release.
I cant wait!!!! As much as I love/loved my iPhone X I cant wait to get back to the Plus size with the X screen! I mean, come on I still pick up my wifes 7+ and I'm like "yeah boi, I want this" in a X screen format, am I the only one? I want all the features and that plus size format, to me it wasn't to big. Once I had one ( a plus size ) and got used to it it was a little hard to go to the X ( took me a while to come to terms with the smaller overall feel of the X ) but once I got used to the X I still longed for the size of the plus. am I the only one who cant wait?

p.s and of course I misspelled the title, smh
I agree 100%. I’m constantly missing my 7 plus!

I'm excited, but I think it could be the first time for me to skip the new iPhone model this year. I don't want the bigger 6,5" model and I don't know if there'll be enough new features that will make me upgrade from X to XS.

I‘m still happy with me 6S Plus. It‘s still fast enough for 2018.

I will have a look at the 2019 iPhone models.

I’d love to get a new Apple Watch but tattoos on my wrist prevent them for working for me anymore. Almost regret getting it done ( not )
Well
I know they interfere with the heart rate monitor but what else doesn’t work?

Pretty excited for the keynote, but I hope they change the feature where we can actually see the battery percentage number on the main screen rather than slightly dropping down the homepage to take a peek at the battery percentage number. Not seeing the battery percentage number on the main screen is the only annoying feature, but I'll still be buying the XS-plus in the future regardless.

I am super excited! to me, it feels like holiday season whenever a keynote is announced haha. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they can do with the upgrades to the X and I think a larger screen would be very cool! im a huge fan of the gold color in general and have been seeing many rumors about a new gold type which I would definitely have to cop!
