I'm excited as I've done had every flagship from Samsung and most recently an X from last year which I let go of because of it being a bit on the small side.

That being said this newer plus size looks like it will be a winner for me as my first Apple iPhone that I'd keep and stick with for years to come.

I also can't figure out from all the leaks or rumors if the bezels are gonna be a tiny bit slimmer than last the current X or if the bezel size will remain, anyone have any ideas on this???

Oh and as I normally always push for white phones I'm a bit excited to see what the Gold looks like as I wanted last years X to be in the same gold tone that the iPhone 8 was done in. Hopefully these new X's will have that same gold.

I am not as excited for this release as I have been at many times in the past. I'm especially suspicious of how the modem will perform.

I have an iPone X and might eschew the XS completely, or I might wait for reports of Gigabit LTE, and how well it works when compared to the Qualcomm modems.

If the phone stayed the same size, and the bezels got thinner, then the resolution would have to change, no? I have a hard time believing they will do this. They could keep the same resolution and shrink the physical footprint of the phone a tiny bit though I suppose.

I am very excited. I suspect this may be a very decent show on the 12th. I am strangely excited about a blue iPhone. And a new mini? That would be awesome.

How do you get excited? All the new products have been leaked.

9/12 will likely be a rehash of all the rumored news.

Well, it's not like we couldn't have just guessed the content of most of the leaks. "Apple releases new iPhones, iPads and Apple Watch In September Event..." Not exactly unexpected. iPhone XS+ is an obvious evolution, as is FaceID iPads.

There are a lot of things that have not been leaked, or if they have, the leaks can't be trusted. How fast with the A12's be? Will battery life be improved? How about the camera? Will the cheaper iPhone "9" get an A12, or something older? Will there be any advancements in Apple's push for AR/VR? What will they cost? etc, etc, etc.

And, of course Tim Cook could announce something unexpected, or un-rumored. More detail on other types of AR/VR hardware? New AirPods? Something completely left-field? Unlikely, but possible.

Not really seen much about any new things coming from Apple as I been so preoccupied with other things lately but just coming on now to have a look and see what is coming. I will likely get a new watch as had my Series 2 for nearly 2 years but having the X I may wait till next year this time. TBH, said that many times but have always got the new one on launch :O

Then after all the build up and excitement, once you have opened the box and played with it for 5 minutes I soon realise there not much of a difference to the last.

I'm very excited, I'm gonna buy a new iPhone this year. Not sure which one (probably the 5.8" Xs), but even though we kind of know what is Apple going to introduce, there are still surprises. I mean: do we know anything specific about this year's iPhone camera, Face ID, battery size etc...? Same about the new Watch, Airpods etc. We actually know just a little IMO. I think this keynote is going to be awesome.

Yes, we most likely know what they will look like but the details of each release excite me I still think Apple will surprise with a major feature we haven't heard of like they mostly do. Plus the fact that things will be official is also exciting to me.

Still rocking an iPhone 6 which has served me well over the past four years, though the screen is crappy (DIY screen replacement after the original screen smashed), the leather case is peeling apart, the home button wobbles (despite new gasket) and switching apps takes an age due to too little RAM (and likely far too many apps).

Planning on a 6.5" XS which will feel like technology from the distant future by comparison. You bet I'm excited!

I’m not upgrading since I have an 8+, but I’m wondering... have we seen everything there is to the XS?

I mean, we know a new Plus size is coming, along with a gold option. Minor camera updates and possibly a storage bump to 512GB... but is that it?

I am. I think there is less hype because the X is such a great phone. I honestly don't have a ton of reason to want to upgrade, but I am looking forward to the X Plus. I am hoping for ProMotion, Face ID 2, and camera improvements.

ProMotion would be pretty slick.

I don't find much to be excited about with new iPhone releases. The last time was the 7+ and the X to some extent.
There are really not that much different a new iPhone does anymore, and I don't need more speed as I hardly game on my phone. Could be that I'm getting too old as well ;-)
Still remember chasing around LA to find one of the last few originals iPhones, before I had to return back to Norway. Finally found one and Jailbroke it in my hotel room as that was the only way to use it in Norway. Now, that was exciting.
I'm waiting for my RED HYDROGEN ONE phone any day now. I'm quite excited about the new display tech and module solutions, but dread having to use Android

I have become comfortable with the small form of the current X, but if the X plus comes with Apple Pencil support I might even consider waiting on line.

I'm super excited!! I plan on getting the X+ and I'm looking forward to upgrading my series 2 watch for the new one.

Price Price Price, not really excited about any of the improvement, but if it is too expensive I may decide to hold on ( again ). My iPhone 6s Plus, new battery with iOS 12 is pretty damn good still.

If the iPhone XS 6.5" is $999, I will buy it immediately, the problem; wasn't the iPhone X suppose to price it out of the range for most people? The iPhone X were selling way better than anyone expected, even in Q3. Which suggest $999 is not a problem for Apple's audience.

Than there is the iPhone XC, as some call it. Which is going for $749, replacing the iPhone 8 tier. If the screen resolution is as crap as were previously rumoured, even less pixel than plus, how the heck is it worth $749?

Other than pricing, Intel Modem is also a concern. I have high expectation as the first Intel fabbed modem. If the results were utter crap or not good enough I may hold off again.

I am also much more interested in the "direction" of iPad Pro and MacBook.

I think we have reached a point where all of our computing equipment are good enough. I have less urge to upgrade than before.

I am super excited as I usually am around this time. Currently have an X but miss the 7 Plus size so much, I know the X Plus is what I'm going to be happy with.
I feel the same way. I sold my X a few weeks ago and have been using my 7+ again. I absolutely love the size and the way it feels in the hand. My big complaint about the X was that it was too small, especially watching videos in portrait, or even landscape. The 6.5 is exactly what the Doctor ordered.
