Don't hang around though, they are only making 8 of them.
there's always this:

to me, it's not necessarily how much money you make or what the ratio is. we all prioritize things in life, including material things. if you can afford something nice and if it speaks to you on an emotional level, i would do it. if you're buying it just so that other people will say, "hey nice rolex or whatever," i would think twice.
this is very true. and although i've been fiscally responsible my whole life - i have my own home(s), i've funded my kids' future college educations and i've saved for retirement, i have a few vices. i like watches, cars and food (and wine). most people can't understand why i would "waste" a lot of money on these things, but it's what makes me happy. i also used to be a big gambler, but even i realized that was like flushing cash down the toilet.
here's cheap seiko beater for you.
That looks a great watch, I'll have to have a closer look at the Orient range.
Love the IWC - that is a truly gorgeous timepiece; how old is it? Anyway, long may you enjoy wearing it.

Finally, an Orient Sun Moon. Probably the best value automatic watches money can buy these days. Very accurate movements and some delightful details, including a lovely blue leather strap with deployment clasp, keeps this one on the wrist far more often than others in my collection.

Is that the grand Seiko with Diamond dust dial or whatever?
As for your other comment I feel I am just too young to have such a luxury. I don't currently own a car or home (don't want either for now) Fully funded retirement last year but still have tax-free accounts that aren't maxed out. I just feel like these nicer watches are to be purchased for when you accomplish something special for yourself and I don't feel I am there yet but I am still unsure what/when that will be.
I've had a good look and my only concern is the 42.5mm case size. My CWL and Seiko mechanical watches are both around that size but they are both tool watches. The CWL is a diver and the Seiko is a military style watch and I'm worried the Orient might look a bit too big on my slimmish wrist with it's small bezel, especially as I'd probably have to buy from the far east making it difficult to return if it does wear too big.It is and you definitely should.
got my daytona back from RSC dallas yesterday.
Trying to move the rotation along:
Monday Tuesday and Wednesday:
I'm not really a big Brietling fan but that Trans Ocean is lovely.
Love the Reverso too.
Where's the rest of the week?Trying to move the rotation along:

Love the look of the Transocean too.. Thanks
The other days were mixed with a smart watch
At least you didn't call it a "beater"; then you'd REALLY be pretentious!Picked up a Pelagos a few weeks ago as a daily wearer
Wow, it is gorgeous, what model is it?
Nomos have a stylish Bauhaus design, quite similar to Braun (quartz) watches for me. Unfortunately I don't like how they look on my wrist
