Because Eric Schmidt is a dishonest, back stabbing, ugly MF'er.

Who sat on Apple's Board as SJ's friend, then used the ideas against SJ.

It's all about that mid morning coffee at the Cafe, right Eric?

I do not know how he can look at himself in the mirror.
Still ashaming yourself with this stupidity about Eric Schmidt?

I just find it hilarious when some apple fanboys say android is so laggy. For goodness sake I mean its not lucky unless you're using a skin like touchwiz on top and even then Samsung has really It a bit lighter so why are you doing this? It's not fair to us Android uses to have to listen to this. Even if you hate the elements of a skin for example TouchWiz, Android is a platform for developers. Rooted Android and installing something like cyanogen mod can really help you.

I don't want hate on this topic from people saying that i'm biased towards android. To be honest i have and used both operating systems and, they both have good and bad parts of the operating system. To be honest, it's kind of being offensive to others because they choose to go for android or ios and some of the other fanboys from the other side just like you hate. I know the android has been leggy in the past. But that's the past! Everything has changed. Android has changed , iOS has changed, heck - even Windows Phone has changed! So just no point to be looking back in the past, don't hate. No, please don't be renting about how stupid this topic is whether you agree or disagree with with it.

To be honest I've never used Android. Do I hate on them? Not at all. It's all a matter of choice. The fact that iOS integrates with my OSX better and my content for the last I don't know how many years is on iTunes, I'm not sure I ever will try Android.
Choose your devices based on your own personal need. Let others do the same.

How cute.
Do you think these polls have any scientific basis for being relevant?

(hint: they don't)
Scientific, no. It's simply a poll of almost a thousand iPhone users, almost half of which are stating they experience lag.

I am a recent Android convert and my 6 is as smooth as butter. I prefer over stock Android. I think all the people complaining about lag are the ones with over 100 apps and 300 movies loaded onto their phone.

I think it is also people looking for examples of imperfection vs looking at how the phone is used in normal usage.

When I watch videos on YouTube I don't constantly switch from landscape to horizontal and back and say "oh look at the lag". I just watch the video and say "look at what that cat is doing"

(Although I just tested that and found it smooth so I am not sure what people are complaining about)

The point is that you don't know if they are iPhone users (vs some people trolling) and the poll participants self select If you are perceive that there is lag which you find subjectively unacceptable you are more likely to express that vs someone who isn't and would just skip the thread.

I like them both. Actually, I like iOS, Android, and BlackBerry. Not a big fan of Windows phones but I did try 3 of them. I find that every person has different wants and needs. Mine are simply that I want to play with everything and I need to enjoy my technology. As such, I'm content not being bias with electronics.

OK, I hate Android, yeah. But I came here after years of using Android phones and tablets, so if I hate Android it's because I have a lot of experience and reasons. For starters, I got very sick and tired of dealing with (1) Google's inconsistent updating of the OS, (2) the hardware manufacturers' very inconsistent upgrading of firmware, (3) my carrier's very, very inconsistent releases of firmware updates, usually just one per contract life and (4) piss-poor quality of Android apps that would crash regularly. Other than those four problems, it was a great system. iOS and Apple is NOT perfect but it's a whole lot better.

Yea I don't get why some people hate it for no reason. I actually am quite fond of android. I wouldn't switch over because I love my 6 plus but I think the new nexus 6 looks great. And lollipop looks like a great update. My favorite android I used was the nexus s I loved it but switched to the iPhone bcause it syncs seamlessly with my Mac. Android is actually really good I don't get all the hate for it.

That is the consistent responce I heard from a lot of people that went from android to iOS.

IPhone OS can be very annoying at times. For example you must use PC with iTunes software to manage all media content. You cannot download videos and stuff directly from safari browser which is a very heavy and unfair restriction. Also when phone is formatted to factory settings you again need to connect to iTunes to activate the phone again.Non removable batteries and non expandable storage is very restricting. No option to customize the themes and launchers and other such stuff and most of all iPhones being more expensive than similarly specced smartphones make it a rich man's toy.For example my $100 Moto E does pretty much everything an iPhone 6 can do at fraction of the price. But i can certainly see the appeal of an iPhone-it just works and for most that's good enough but so do most other phones these days as well.

I don't hate Android, but I don't like it. I Started with Blackberry in the smartphone world and the moved over to android when it started in a HTC Droid Eris. That phone sucked! Went to iPhone. Loved it but then got bored and went back to android on a Motorola Droid Bionic. That phone quickly sucked. Back to iPhone. Then got a Nexus 7 when that came out. Used it a little. But just didn't like the OS. Now I have an iPad mini.

I just don't like the android "fanboy" that hates on Apple when they have never used one. (My in-laws) erks me to no end!!!

Probably comes from early on when it appeared Google and Samsung were stealing ideas from Apple, being unable to create something great on their own. Of course, with the advent on the 6 Plus, it could be argued the other way around too.

I don't hate Android, I just don't like Samsung. They steel others ideas then litigate in court for years while they continue to make the stole product. Samsung uses Android therefore I will never adopt Android. Besides, I like Apple's integrated ecosystem.

Windows fans say android is laggy too.

Also, iPhone gets WAYYY more hate than android ever will. Just look at any tech blog, mostly dweebs who think they know everything and anyone who uses Apple is an idiot.

Yep, the Apple hate is unreal, Apple deals with the most FUD in the world too. I just lol at Android fanboys who say "iPhone has 2011 specs, my dual core is clocked higher and is faster, just look at spec sheet; Android device blows it away!"

Some people just like winding others up. It's a sport to them. An amusement.

Shun them. Deny them their antisocial fun and eventually they'll grow up. Certainly dont respond to or even acknowledge them. They'll eventually get the message.

You'll be doing them a favor. And the rest of us too. Thanks.

You dont have to pair the phone to the computer with iTunes in order to boot it up that isnt true at all, what is your point with the Moto E? All smartphones can and do the same thing, take pictures and videos, run apps, etc, its just that the new smartphones do it much faster, clearer, better, smoother, with better cameras and better performance and battery life and design.

Its clear you never owned a iPhone to say that you need to connect it to iTunes in order for it to work, you dont need any computer at all to set up your iPhone/iOS device, its been like that for a while now.

Yeah you cant download things from Safari browser, but i found a App on the app store where I can download music straight from the application so... And removeable battery and storage is a preference and design choice, the Plus has one of the best battery lifes in a smartphone on the market right now, the 4.7 inch i6 does pretty well too although not the best on battery life

Similarily specced phones cost almost just as much as the iPhone, i dont get where you made that up or got that from

It's a simple fact, these mobile platforms (iOS and Android) wouldn't both be selling in the millions if either one sucked. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

We're living in a golden age of mobile technology. We carry around personal computers that are far more powerful than the ones NASA used to put a man on the moon, and they fit in our pockets! There are almost too many great devices to choose from, and yet still people have to be so negative.

When was this though? This is a bit like saying I hate IOS because it doesn't have an app store or even cut and paste (which was the experience at one time). The latest versions of Andriod are really good, better than IOS I would dare say. I am a fan of both, but Andriod is edging out now.

Competition is good and we are very lucky to have two awesome choices.

Edit: And when I say the Android experience, it is only fair to compare vs the true Google phones (ie Nexus). Everything else is acquired through Open Source and tweaked (usually in a bad way). Not a fair comparison.
