IPX is good in CPU ONLY geekbench...but even more pathetic given such high CPU score and nvme :p, ipx comes out as laggard when overall system is tested. Pay $1000 which us twice the price of note9 further rub salt into the wounds hahaha.

Cheaping out is really iPhone with just faceID whereas note 9 got 3 times as many with iris, facial and touchID :p

It's a shame the Note 9 doesn't have iOS. Android just means the Note 9 is an immediate no.

The high end android devices are worth the money but the cheap Chinese phones are not. You have to spend money if you want a good experience. Paying £300 and expecting to get the same experience as you would for a £1,000 device just isn’t going to happen.
Have seen the reviews for the new Pocophone? The Find X is an amazing phone but that does cost more, in OP6 territory.

Lucky note9 doesn't come with bug ridden, purposely inserted throttling control that degrades performance, restrictive this can't do that can't do and 10 years old bored to death UI that is IOS. That is an immediate no no

Difference is Samsung is ripping off customers.
Isn’t that what you keep accusing Apple of?

I would care if I was spending the same amount of money but getting less than a year old phone. The iPhone X is a year old phone, and nvme is not the only component that Samsung cheaped out on.

Sure ram helps with the antutu score, but iPhone X slaughters the note 9 in geek bench.
Wonder how the a12 will do?

Again no point in comparing a 2017 model with a 2018 model.
New iPhones in a couple of weeks.

Chin up you got your note 9 for 300 dollars.
You get what you pay for.
Oh no! your not still banging on about this are you? Your tech knowledge seems confused. Are you sure you're not on school holidays, because your posts appear to have a distinctive signature.

Better that than Android though.

$1000 is way too much for a phone period. That includes the Note 9 and iPhone X. You can try justifying it with a bunch of features, but it won't sway my opinion.

Though, if I had to pay $1000 for a phone? I would go iPhone X 2018 or X+ 2018. I know I can get more mileage out of iOS than Samsung's Android skinned devices.

Apple is the only company willing to update a phone after 5 years. Plus, with the software + hardware coming from one company, it makes it easier for developers to push app updates out or design newer apps.

If I had to go back to Android, I would go something with Pure Android. I might make an exception to that if it were a Sony device, but that's a huge if. Pure Android, especially the Pixel and Android One program, have the fastest updates/cleanest software/less bloatware.

It's a lot, but it really comes down to the value it brings the individual. I'd imagine most people are either paying monthly through an upgrade program (which adds up to about $500) or they resell the device at a later date and recoup about $500-$600. For some, it may be a lot to stomach, but for many it's not that tough of a purchase. I agree with your last statement though - if I ever decided to go to Android, I would only look at the Pixel. I couldn't stomach using a Google product though unless they made some major changes.

You sound very happy with your note 9 purchase.

Personally the curved display, dated design,
And lack of 3D facial recognition makes it very unappealing to me. As a 2018 smartphone it’s extremely lacking.

But do enjoy your device.

Dated design? To each their own I guess...

Same design since the s6 edge.
Recycled twice a year every year since.
Dated is an understatement.

The fact that it still uses a curved screen and it's made of glass doesn't make it the same since the S6E, in fact the Note 9 design is much more refined and better than ever, and no need for a Notch.

Yeah well after 4 years of refinement it’s a dated design.
I believe sales are reflecting that.

The sales are low simply because not everyone updates every year and the fact that the Note 9 didn't bring any exciting new features to justify the upgrade from the Note 8/S9.

Sales are low; you think because it’s a lack of features, I believe it’s because of the dated design and curved display fatigue.

At the end of the day sales are still low.

Whatever you want to think, the sales are low it's not my own business to care for that, but dated design? Nope. Still one of the best looking smartphones out there, even better than the X.

Sales are lower for Samsung because they are being hammered by low cost Chinese manufacturers.

Apple offers a differentiated product because they have their own OS and ecosystem.

The note 9 looks great, it’s just greatly hampered by its OS.

Android is still more advanced than iOS when it comes to features and usability, all in all it's mostly ones preference.

Low cost Chinese manufactures with a notch and no curved display.

Android definitely has more features, on paper, but it’s defjnitely less usable than iOS and completely lacks integration with other Apple products.

I think you will find plenty evidence of such claims in other threads going back some time. Still, don't try to deflect away from some of the ridiculous things you have been writing today.
