Anyone have success with Hard Cider Labs’ SliceCharge products?

They’re confirming that their upcoming SliceCharge 3 Pro & MagSafe Mount Editions will be compatible, but wondering if their older offerings works with iPhone 12 too?!?

I have the slicecharge pro 6-coil charging pad so whenever I get my iPhone 12 pro max I can test it out (but hopefully someone else can help you out sooner). I have to say though I really dislike the charger and don’t even use it. I actually boxed it up to return but the company was so hard to work with I ended up cutting my losses and chalking it up to a lesson learned and I will never order from the company again.

Has any one tried theirs with this Belkin 3 in 1 wireless charger. I have this one for my 11 Pro Max and Apple Watch and I’m curious to know if it works with the 12/12Pro. Of course as I’ll be getting the 12 Pro Max which is a different size altogether it may or may not work.

Yes, got one in today replacing my old 2-in-1, so without the Airpod charging pad.

Works fine. At first thought it was interesting the supply is much smaller than the new one (15V / 3A vs 15V / 1.5A), but then I realized the old had a USB port as well.

I have the SliceCharge Pro and no issues charging my 12 Pro. I considered getting the SliceCharge 3 Pro MagSafe Edition, but will be getting Apple’s MagSafe Duo instead.

Ah okay. Thanks for the reply. That’s good to know.

Just got this from Nomad:

Hi Shawn,

We’re happy to let you know that we have new firmware addressing iPhone 12 compatibility available to load onto your Base Station Pro. To update your Base Station Pro, begin by downloading and installing the FreePower® updater here.

This firmware update is a beta release designed to address iPhone 12 charging issues. You can expect the following performance updates:

  • iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro charge from 0-80% in 3-4 hours
  • The last 80-100% of charging seems to take 2 hours without a case and up to 4 hours with a case.

We are working hard on improving the 80-100% charge speed as well as other charging performance improvements in the next firmware version, so stay tuned.

After updating your firmware and testing out the performance, please feel free to respond to this email with any questions or feedback you may have.

-The Nomad Product Team

I have a spigen wireless charger. Had it a few years and worked perfectly fine with my previous phone(8 plus). Now my new 12 only works if you place it perfectly on the pad. Really annoying as I have to take it on and off till I hear the charging noise.

I have the Zens Liberty Wireless charger and I noticed that it's not working properly with the iPhone 12. I think this might be due to the fact that it's a "AirPower"-like device that has multiple coils, and magnets (MagSafe) obviously interferes with Qi chargers.
Can anyone with a multi-coil "free placement" charger test? For example the new Nomad Charger or the Zens Liberty?

Confirmed Qi chargers not working with the iPhone 12/Pro
I’ve been using my Zens Liberty Wireless Charger with my iPhone 12 Pro (w/ Clear Apple MagSafe case) since the phone’s launch day and have not had any issues. It starts charging shortly after placing it on the charger and is always fully charged by the morning. My mother also has the same setup and has not had any issues as well.

So what is the common denominator here for this issue? Why some ok and some not?

14.2 maybe fix?

Nomad Base Station Stand is not charging my iPhone 12 Pro.

iPhone 12 Pro does not charge on Nomad Base Station Stand.

Hi there!
I will really appreciate if you can share results after the update to iOS 14.2. Thank you!

I don’t think iOS 14.2 makes any difference, but what I found out is that it doesn’t charge the 12 Pro without a case. Today I got the Apple Leather Case and it actually charges. Only obstacle is that you have to put it down slowly on the charger in order to start charging. Most likely it charges even better with a non-Magsafe case.

Ravpower HyperAir RP-PC069 does not work with 12 Pro before or after iOS 14.2 update. Bare phone or Apple's MagSafe clear case attached. Charger LED blinks slow red = foreign object detected.

Yep, I can confirm iPhone 12 Pro not working with Nomad Base Station Pro. With or without the apple silicone case on it. Annoying.
FreePower® technology is always becoming more advanced, the newest software update has the following improvements:

  • Improved support for iPhone 12 Series
  • Release date: 11/4/2020
Fixes it freepower-update

any more feedback with mophie 3 in one? Mine seems to work sometimes

I actually have to correct myself on this one. The above only applies if I use a 12 W charger for the Base Station Stand. If I use the included 18 W charger from Nomad it now works. :)

I'm interested in purchasing the Nomad Base Station Stand (and the 12 Pro Max), and I was wondering if you're able to charge your iPhone 12 with the stand after installing the 14.2 update?

It works with my 12 Pro (not Max) with the Apple Leather Case with iOS 14.2.
