Hopefully it's still accessible easily 😅Also, the RAM speed is still super low... Apple loves to cheap out on RAM, whilst charging customers 100x over the market rate.
Agreed. It is a joke. I know which I'd rather have. Hint: I am a Mac mini ownerFor the price of a 27" iMac, with 512 gb ssd, 5700XT, and 10-core processor, you can get the following:
- 49" monitor
- Mac Mini
- $1700 PC to game on with better performance across the board
The pricing for the all-in-one design is totally lost on me. Unless you're living in a 400 sq ft studio, where every inch of space counts, I don't get it.
It is on the 27 inch (see tech specs) a same four DIMM slots as beforeHopefully it's still accessible easily 😅

When will modern-day nerds understand that some people just don't care about mechanical keyboards,
Not for a 27 at least but there will be a 24 probablyThere's definitively NO AS iMac this year with such upgrade.
You can ignore the gaming part, and the current iMac is still a POS imo. Just look at it!!! I feel sick. When will modern-day nerds understand that some people just don't care about gaming, mechanical keyboards, RGB lighting, and twitch streaming? Some people use computers for a different reason, and you guys are just not the target demographic. I just don't care about video games, and if I sometimes play anything, it's on a console. Apple caters more to these demographics and is basically not in the videogame market at all.
Apple should really bring back the mac vs pc ads.

DON'T TOUCH TO MY DAS KEYBOARD. I'm programmer. NEED a mechanical keyboard.
And I love the comments like "them bezels" and "give me more cooling for better vidya gaming"...
Most, if not all, of you guys, wouldn't buy the iMac if it had zero bezels and cooling from a Lockheed Martin F-35. There are so many Apple haters online with nothing better to do...
Yup, although probably in a PC with decent cooling. And this is a down clocked 10900K.
Have a look at the benches.
For a 10 core i9. Performs similar to a last gen Threadripper 16 core?
There are worse fates. And getting that £1300 5k monitor on any PC is similarly pricey.
It's not heaven. (re; Design..and cooling...)
But heaven can wait.
Azrael.
Totally agree. Let's wait for tear down and reviews before pulling the trigger. You can ignore the gaming part, and the current iMac is still a POS imo. Just look at it!!! I feel sick.
Also, the cooling makes all the additional power from the 10th gen CPUs, likely useless. Looking forward too see how the CPU and GPU throttle to the moon and back when this gets into the hands of reviewers.
To put it bluntly, Apple haven't made many good Macs in the past half a decade, and the iMac certainly falls into that category. Tim 'penny-counting' Cook, is happy though, so that's something.
Anyone doing mid-heavy work would benefit from heavy cooling. The current high-end iMacs get VERY hot and throttle pretty easily, whether gaming or not. So yes, F-35 cooling would be lovely. And in 2020, bezels certainly matter. Both of those factors are why I am not buying it (not being 32inches is a slight issue too). And I love the comments like "them bezels" and "give me more cooling for better vidya gaming"...

If they are reasonable, will you be pulling the trigger, pldelisle?Totally agree. Let's wait for tear down and reviews before pulling the trigger.
I think Apple would have said that in the tech specs or overview page if true. Remember who is in charge of Apple.Since this is all ssd and T2...there are more than 50% chances that youll get the imac pro cooling inside
The room is there but from what i can see there is still the door for Ram user upg so...probably will not the cooling
