Yes from 12 Pro 128 to 15 Pro Max 256.

Thinking of doing the Apple trade in but got a question. Will a warranty replacement phone give me less trade in value?
My model# starts with N rather than M.

Thanks

No, it is the same. Just trade in store to avoid problems with mail in company which is known to lowball.

Depends how big of a jump is camera wise 12 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max/Ultra. I upgrade mainly for the camera cuz I travel a lot.
I hear you!!! I have the 14 pro max and love the 48mp camera & ProRAW. However if the 15 pro max doesn’t have updated sensors on the telephoto and ultra wide (remaining at 12mp), then I probably will not upgrade. 12mp is old technology, I’m done with using it. I’ll get external lenses to put over the 1x to maintain the 48mp resolution. 12mp is useless to me now.

Yeah, I know about the periscope zoom camera, but is Apple continuing to use the 12 megapixel sensor for the other two cameras? I haven’t heard much about any larger sensor upgrades. They haven’t been upgraded sensor wise in years.

I have no plans on upgrading to another iOS device, I went to the 13 Pro Max as an experiment as I haven’t owned an iPhone since the 5, it’s not a bad experience by any means I just grew out of love with Apple and I miss my Samsung experience.

I upgrade every year no matter what. We have four phones in the family, so I just give last year's model to whoever needs it most. Basically, they are all on 3-year cycles, and I am on a 1-year cycle (but I pay for all of them). I enjoy having the latest phone, and they don't seem to care, so it works out well.

I have the 1TB 13 Pro Max, and right now I’m on the fence. I’d really like USB-C, that 48mp camera, and the periscope zoom. But I’m down to less than 200GB on the hard drive (I have a lot of media files/photos), and I see that dwindling as I re-rip my purchased CDs in Lossless and don’t downsample the files transferred to the phone (still waiting for a Bluetooth update in the AirPods to allow wireless lossless). It will be a really difficult decision if the 15 Pro Max/Ultra doesn’t offer a 2TB storage tier. I might sit out one more year and hope that the hardware upgrades in 2024 justify the increasingly expensive price tag after another development cycle.

Definitely aiming to upgrade from a 12 PM 256GB to at least a 15PM (Ultra) 512GB or 1TB. I use the 4TB iCloud plan and have pretty much maxed it out, so more local storage and specs (along with USB C and better cameras) will be mainly why I'll upgrade.

But internal storage would not help you to free up icloud unless you turn off said iCloud sync and keep storing 4tb icloud + whatever fits internally?

I am 100% going to upgrade next month. I’m going to trade in my 14 Pro Max for the 15 Pro Max. If I don’t like the new color, I’ll get silver.

yes. I have the 14 pro now and do not like it. it’s heavy and awkward to hold, the purple is ugly (subjective), battery health is bad, it overheats like crazy, dynamic island is useless, and the camera sucks. I think 14 pro is their worst iphone in years and can’t wait to use anything but this

Currently on a 14 Pro and will upgrade to a 15 Pro when they release. Mainly because of USB-C as it means I can finally do away with lightning and consolidate my cables.

This is a big reason I presume on why people won't upgrade

I just want a smaller device! I'm getting tired of having to lug around this heavy PM.
Is it really that heavy for you? I carry two iPhones, both the PM. I carry them in a crossbody bag along with three 20K mah batteries and several other items. Anyway, hopefully you’ll upgrade to what suits you.
