In a coffee shop.
I have not heard of a sour being brewed in such a way that it has the characteristics or called a stout. interesting.

Had the last of my "Blind Pig" IPA from Russian River Brewery. One of the best and one of my favorites. So freaking good!

The beer is called "Petrus" and describes itself as an "Aged Red".

The label further adds that it contains "15% Foeder Bier + 85% Dubbel MET KRIEKEN" (yes, the latter is fully capitalised along with a small picture of cherries in case you missed the point).

Perhaps to describe it as a stout is over-stating it, but the texture is 'heavier' than most fruit beers; so, the beer seems to contain strong elements or features of a classic Belgian 'dubbel' with added cherries.

The cherry taste is pleasantly tart.

Interesting. Ahhh, it is more in line with a Belgium Dubbel... It caught my attention when you said sour that was a stout. Nice, I know you like sour's and from the above text in bold, it sounds like it is heavy on the cherry side! Do enjoy!

I am looking for this one and most places can't seem to keep it in stock!!! Kind of reminds me of trying to track down a Pliny when it is released!! How do you like it?

No, I wouldn't describe it as "heavy on the cherry side", more, that you notice that it is a beer with some weight (which some fruit based beers lack) that also comes with a flavour of (quite tart) cherries.

I did like it. While there is nothing subtle about a double IPA, it did have some interesting nuances, especially in the aftertaste. This is a double portion can BTW. But, heck, I finished it as it tasted so good.

Got it a a local Hy-Vee grocery store. Pliny! Well that is my Holy Grail. Had it in the City of Napa, and in a Denver sports bar years ago. I'm sure I'll never see it here in the Mid-West, USA.

As a toast to GOT kicking off its last season, had a glass of Nee Holland’s Dragon Milk Reserve. One of my favorites and as this one warms up the flavor really comes through!

Love the Dragons Milk, although I’ve never had the reserve, anything particularly special or different about it compared to the other?

The reserve line is usually something that is flavored or aged in a barrel other than a bourbon or oak one. This particular one was aged in a brandy barrel and yes it was really good. Once it warmed up, it really came through!

I have been trying to track down the Coffee and Chocolate Reserve version, which has some really good tasting notes and is one of the better ones. They have a coconut version as well as some different berries.

Regular Dragons Milk, aged in oak barrels, is still darn tasty all by itself. This version was just as good to me!
