That would certainly hit the spot right about now...
Just opened a bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé, a glorious French white wine from Burgundy, made from the Chardonnay grape.
Yes, I went for one this evening too. Never a disappointment.
Actually, I had three.
A terrific beverage.
Arsenal won. (In spite of themselves).
I, er, acquired a crate of this sublime beverage not so long ago.
And am happily working my way through it....
I still have a crate of CBS from Founders to greet...

Oh how I wish there was CBS left chez moi, alas I have just a few bottles of KBS. Not the worst consolation!
I'm on a stout kick right now.
I spotted that in the wild, today, but shall forego risking a purchase until I next re-visit that store.
For now, I am sipping a beer from the invariably Buxton brewery, an India Red Ale called High Tor.
Left Hand Nitro Stout is very good stout. I have had many of those.
Sipping my second beer of the night, also from the Buxton Brewery.
This is called Red Wolf, and is a sour fruit beer. Very tart and tasty.

Sipping a crisp and elegant rosé from France: Chateau Val Joanis which is made with Grenache and Shiraz grapes.
Sipping a Viognier (Les Agasses) - an elegant white wine - from France this early summer evening.
Sipping an elegant, bone dry, German Riesling: "Hofmann 2017 Riesling "Vom Muschelkalk" Appenheimer".
It has been a while since having a Müller wine, will put that one on my buy list, thanks.
Actually, when I bought it yesterday, I wasn't concentrating - seduced by the Gold Medal (from 2017) and the fact that the wine is produced from old vines.
Candidly, I thought I was buying a good Riesling; this is a little lighter than a good Riesling, but has that tight, mineral structure that I like, some heft, and an elegant crispness that almost disguises the fact that this is actually a pretty hefty (abv 13.5%) wine.
By way of conclusion: I recommend it.
Opened a bottle of Riseling (an exceptionally elegant Riseling) from Austria: Müller Goldberg Kremstal Reserve.
