There are some seriously good locally brewed IPAs here.

Awesome! I'd hate to think it went to waste.

The wife tried an IPA, and drank the whole thing, and declared it 'the worst thing I have ever drank!', and I was sad. Obviously that IPA was wasted. I mentioned that 'It died in vain', and she was somewhat irked. 'Well, yeah, but if you hated every molecule, it was like torture, and an IPA isn't meant to be torture. It's a concert on your tongue!' She said 'Is Slim Whitman still touring?' OUCH!!! But laughed at her comment. I doubt she's ever had one since. You try to improve someone's life, and, well, it fails sometimes...🤔 More for me I guess.:D

Thanks! I should have had a local IPA but saw a bloke drinking one of these on the way in and got sucked in to the romance of how it looked
I think that I would have succumbed to the lure of the local IPA, but I agree that that beverage looks fantastic and utterly mouth-watering (especially if one hasn't darkened the door of a pub for around 18 months).

Geneva
Well currently imbibing a pint of Valaisanne Pale Ale. For info Valais is the Swiss canton where the Matterhorn is located. I am at a pub in the Paquis neighborhood of Geneva just across the lake from the famous Jet d’eau fountain.

Whimper. Envy. Wonderful.

Do enjoy (view, setting and beer).

Myself, I am sipping a glass (or three) of a Chilean white wine (Sauvignon Blanc) this Friday evening.

7 pints of this yesterday gave me a very stiff head this morning. Felt absolutely fine last night and it did taste rather nice

Seven?

Wow.

Not since student and postgrad days have I been able to consume such a quantity, or volume, or beer.

These days, I rarely exceed three beers, and, even then, most often confine myself to two.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Just opened (and decanted) a bottle of côtes du rhône villages and also noticed it’s 14.5%!

Bliss.

Do enjoy.

That would go exceptionally well with (rare) fillet steak, or lamb cutlets, roast potatoes with garlic, and a nice salad, followed by a cheeseboard.
Was able to snag a six pack of Pelican Brewery's Tsunami Stout and a six pack of their Kiwanda Cream Ale. Delicious.

Sounds fantastic.

I’m enjoying a Stella while watching the football match.

Beer and football......perfection; what is there not to like?

Do enjoy.
