Enjoying another Weihenstephaner Vitus today. I'll visit the Astra brewery tomorrow, as I'll be in Hamburg for unrelated reasons anyway, and I wonder what I will find.

Last week (or so), - in advance of the Yuletide season - I treated myself to the best part of half of a crate of Korbinian (courtesy of Weihenstephaner), and yesterday, I added several bottles each of Hefeweissbier, Hefeweissbier Dunkel, and Traditional Helles (plus, six more bottles of Korbinian) to this lot; anyway, this delightful selection has yet to be delivered, but - as I have been out quite a bit over recent days - this is not entirely the fault of the vendor, who had offered to effect a delivery of (this) beer today.

I also purchased a few bottles of white wine from Burgundy, another perennial favourite of mine.

Hamburg did have an ale brewed with a pine tree in it. (Astra Fichten Fiete.) Quite interesting. I’ll get a Korbinian tomorrow(, probably!) but I’ll be at a whisky fair in Bremen, so there’s some time left before I’ll try it…
