It stinks that you got scammed, David. Thanks for being standup and following through with the thread. Good news is PayPal will refund you. It may take a little while, though. Hopefully, your experience will help others who use and view the forum.

yep

well keep every one up dated

Just to give a bit of encouragement........I purchased a discontinued Bose earpiece on eBay a couple of years ago (prior to AirPods :0)) that was reportedly new and around $179. It took about 30 seconds after opening th package to see it was a knockoff and about 2 minutes to realize it didn't work . I called eBay immediately and had to notify the seller (waste of time, long gone, China) but they looked into it and refunded my money. I also paid through PayPal. I had a refund within 7-10 days. Good Luck!

Not necessarily. It may come with a mandatory $200 plan for 2 years. They can always get you on the back end.

One time I saw somebody buying a keyboard/piano and what he received was a toy, Tonka matchbox piano. Some scammers are too funny.

Great Reality Show BTW.

Bro how would it be a scam through target? I mean your gonna have to pay taxes and an activation fee. But your gonna get a new phone. They also have the iPhone 8 for $299. Or $10 a month.

buy the way wish iphone is better in T-mobile verizon unlocked model or T-Mobile model ?

Well you’ll need Verizon service since they are locked until activated on their network . The Verizon or sprint model would be better though since it has all the same radios with the exception of CDMA support on the Verizon and sprint models

Sorry dude....it happens.

Sometimes you do get lucky though. I snagged a brand new 12.9 iPad Pro second Gen 256GB with AppleCare for $549 a few months ago.

It was fully legit and I’m using it right now. Dreams do happen,

I legit laughed at the video. Anyway it’s lazy as hell that the seller used a legit box for a blacklisted phone. I sold my X 256gb box to some dude on Craigslist with headphones for $50.

As soon as the seller got a hold of the money from the OP he was probably a happy scammer that day.

Anyway I’ve seen holds on sales from PayPal, surely that could have prevented this?

The people that are willing to buy an iPhone X from a new seller with 0 feedback... aren't the same people who will look closely at a box. Can't blame the seller for trying as that demographic evidently exists.

Evidently. Considering he looked up the IMEI on the box, just looking at the phone is a giveaway.
