well 2 more days and i will win my case with paypal and get my $ back
for now on any iphone i buy most be brand new and never been used and i will now only buy them off apple web site

Focus on getting your money back.
These clones have been surfacing even before September 2017 and have been covered in other videos. This is not new material.

didn't everyone warn you to not use ebay? You should have used swappa. Plus for a new iPhone 8 plus RED, it seems it was resealed due to how the wrap isn't firm around it. Here we go again....
I can't say I haven't been screwed by someone who had a bunch of feedback, because I have been, that is why I stopped buying phones on ebay period.
Plus, you can buy the phone right now new from Best Buy for $799.

I would've gotten a cheaper temp iPhone (SE, 6S, or 7 series) and used that until the 2018 iPhone LCD model comes out. Flip the older iPhone around September. eBay is risky. I always prefer to buy my iPhones from a carrier or a reputable company (Best Buy, Walmart, Apple Store, etc).
$410 for the X is way too good to be true.

I know folks buy/sell phones all the time, but for me, I'd rather pay extra and skip the drama and hassle
New phone comes out, I hand them my old one, they hand me a new one... easy peasy
I understand not everyone is in a financial situation to do that, and they need to buy/flip/etc to make it work financially
I'm just glad I haven't needed to do that
I want to just use my phone and not worry about when the optimal time to sell is, what I will use in the interim and will I get scammed as a buyer or seller

I’ve gotten scammed on EBay before buying a phone. Granted, this was back in the Motorola Razr days. A seller was selling Razrs for half off, brand new. So, me being the dumb dumb I was, bought two. When I paid, the seller gave me a link to buy the phone, for full price, on a website. So I of course complained to EBay and by the time they got involved, the seller had emptied most of his account and those of us who had purchased phones only got a fraction of our $ back.
Like MacDawg says, I gladly sell my phone back to Apple even if it is a few hundred less than I can get for it. I refuse to buy used and I use the Apple Upgrade Plan.

After he got scammed here, he stated he was going to get a new phone directly from the carrier. Then he posts that he is going to get the phone from Swappa. Instead of getting the device from a reputable place, he goes right back to eBay. I don't think that is wise.
The listed Snow just posted is one in which the phone has been opened, even though it says "new." The seller didn't even bother to write anything into his or her listing. Those are two red flags, in my opinion.
I hope Snow doesn't get scammed again. He better hope the phone he just bought doesn't have hidden internal damage.
Snow could have tried the forum Marketplace and possibly scored a nice phone.

Why not buy from Best Buy or Apple? That way you know it is brand new and you will be protected?

The iPhone 8 plus listing is $799. Apple is the same price. Why not buy from Apple?
Obviously, you can do as you please. If I were buying an expensive phone, my first choice would be direct from Apple.
That last little bit about Best Buy was too unintelligible for me.
But Snow, you do understand MSRP at a regular store for an 8+ is $799. You aren’t saving much by going to eBay.
sales tax is the reason why i wont buy it from apple it will make the phone $860 to there am saveing $60 in sales taxs
