I guess you mean GPX routes because the maps are included in the app. For well known trails you can usually find a website with a GPX file by Googling the name of the route along with "GPX". For example a website for a particular trail will usually have a GPX file for it.What is everyone’s favorite system for getting maps into WODs? Yes Mapout is the best App. I use this app since several yearsFor me BY FAR the best way to make a GPX route is Mapout App on iOS. Great design, offline, folders for organization.
This has happened to me a few times also. I also get occasional black areas on maps.My WorkOutDoors app on my AW7 froze when running today - the map failed to move although it seemed to continue recording the run. Turning the crown had no effect (no zoom). I could not find any way to recenter on where i was etc. It remained frozen at one location. I had to stop the app and restart on iwatch. Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?

I use Footpath mostly for cycling but it's great for hiking, etc. What is everyone’s favorite system for getting maps into WODs? I’ve used Strava but trying to drop the subscriptions and this is the only thing holding me back.
I just got a H10 Polar heart rate strap. Got it connected to the Apple Watch and WOD just fine. But it only stays connected to the watch for one workout and then it drops connection. This is NOT an issue with WOD as the strap is no longer connected to the watch at all and no longer shows when I do a scan.
I am thinking that the battery is dying. Is there a way to check the status of the battery on the H10? Or has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
The app has a Heart Sensor Battery metric, which shows the battery percentage reported by the sensor. There is also a Heart Sensor Battery alert that will warn you when it gets below a configurable level. However the reported values from sensors can fluctuate (i.e. sometimes go up), so be wary of them.I just got a H10 Polar heart rate strap. Got it connected to the Apple Watch and WOD just fine. I use an app called Footpath. You can draw the map on the phone and export the GPX file to WODs.What is everyone’s favorite system for getting maps into WODs? I’ve used Strava but trying to drop the subscriptions and this is the only thing holding me back.
Speaking of the Polar H10, is it possible to have two simultaneous bluetooth connections to the Apple Watch?
Has anyone done this and know if it is possible?
You should be able to pair both and more. I haven't found any official Apple documentation on the limits but I "attended" a virtual talk by one of the Apple engineers last year. They said that there was a limit of a total of 2 Bluetooth devices across all 3rd party apps, but that didn't include Bluetooth connections with watchOS, such as headphones and HRM.Speaking of the Polar H10, is it possible to have two simultaneous bluetooth connections to the Apple Watch? Usually when I go out for a run or a cycle I pair my H10 directly with my AW and I pair my Samsung Buds+ to my phone for music. The other day I wanted to leave my phone at home and listen to a downloaded Spotify playlist but no matter what I did I was unable to get both the Buds+ and the Polar H10 paired with my AW 7 at the same time.

I must be doing something wrong. Out of curiosity, which thing did you pair first? I've only tried once or twice but when I did I first paired the headhphones and got the music going and then I tried to pair the Polar H10, but I was never able to get them to connect. I have WOD set to connect to bluetooth sensor at the start of a workout and make a noise when connected but it never happened.I do this all the time, even with three connections. Polar OHR, Stryd and bluetooth headphones at the same time.
Ok, that makes sense. Part of the issue is that the strap would show as connected when I went to setting on AW, but when I started up WOD it wouldn't show a connection to the HRM in the app. I have WOD set to automatically pair with my Polar when I start a workout and give a little chime when it connects. You should be able to pair both and more. So you should be able to connect headphones and HRM via watchOS as well as another two sensors via third party apps such as WorkOutDoors.
If you connect the H10 via watchOS then it will not be able to connect via WOD. However you can still use it in the app by selecting watchOS as the source for HR instead of trying to pair with the app.Ok, that makes sense. Komoot for both hiking and biking trails. Export GPX directly from the app to WOD on the phone and good to goWhat is everyone’s favorite system for getting maps into WODs? I’ve used Strava but trying to drop the subscriptions and this is the only thing holding me back.
Gotcha, it's definitely far easier to pair H10 with WOD app rather than going through settings. I'll double check that I do that next time rather than try to pair it through watchOS settings. If you connect the H10 via watchOS then it will not be able to connect via WOD. I use Gaia GPS. It will export a GPX file directly to the WorkOutdoors app. Gaia offers paid subscriptions to access advanced map layers but exporting files is included in the free version. What is everyone’s favorite system for getting maps into WODs? Sorry you had problems. I have heard of this a couple of times recently and it has been as a result of the workout file being corrupted when sent from the watch to the iPhone, so I think there is a rare bug which has appeared in recent versions of watchOS / iOS.WorkOutDoors kept on crashing on my iPhone. Tried everything, until I had no other choice but to uninstall and reinstall. Is there any way to recover all previous workouts at once? They seem intact on the Watch.
