So how do you assign the action button to pause? When I press it creates an interval. I cannot find anything in options.
Go to the Commands menu in the WOD settings and then tap Shortcuts. This allows you to control what gestures performs what command. So how do you assign the action button to pause? When I press it creates an interval. I cannot find anything in options.
Seems like a good idea.Hi Ian. Is there a way of changing the number of zones in WOD. Currently defaults to 6. I use a Stryd and wanting to replicate their power zones (they use 5). Is it best just adjust zones 1-5 appropriately and then adjust zone 6 to something really high so it never gets triggered?
There are effectively 7 zones for HR, pace and power. As you say the best way to use fewer zones is to make the top ones higher than you will ever reach.Hi Ian. I may allow zone addition/removal in the future, but it isn't high in my plans at the moment. Sorry.Seems like a good idea.
I myself use training systems where I have 7 zones... hoping that there might be the option to add/remove zones in the future.
Ok - too bad. If you get a chance to squeeze it into a future release, would be grateful.. very similar to the "Garmin way" which you'll probably get more requests in future as there are more Garmin converts coming.Ah I see. No that isn't possible. You can set the distance interval in miles, but it will display and speak the distances in km if that is what is defined as the units. Sorry about that. No-one has asked for that before.
Separate question - is there away for WOD to keep track of equipment? Like mileage on shoes? I'm migrating away from Strava and this is one of the few things I'd miss from the platform.
For me both buttons action + right the combinaison is not working it just give me a message failure of exercise in WODGo to the Commands menu in the WOD settings and then tap Shortcuts. This allows you to control what gestures performs what command.
I may add gear tracking into WorkOutDoors at some time in the future, but it seems like something which should take into account all workouts stored in Apple's Health system, so that it works when using several different workout creation apps.Ok - too bad. Unfortunately Apple haven't published any documentation about how developers should use use the action button, so I have been working from unofficial blogs and tweets and none of them explain how to use the combination of the action button and the side button. For me both buttons action + right the combinaison is not working it just give me a message failure of exercise in WOD
I noticed that as of Tuesday, my WOD tracked runs are now showing power data when viewing with the Strava mobile app.
Is there a way to view Heart Rate Recovery after a workout? I know the data is collected within the apple watch. I am not seeing a way to show that data within the app, either on the phone or watch.
As @Mauki says, you can see recovery information in Apple's Fitness app. WOD stops interacting with Apple's workout system at the end of a workout, so does not store recovery data. I may add that sort of thing at some time in the future, but probably not for a while. Is there a way to view Heart Rate Recovery after a workout? I know the data is collected within the apple watch. Maybe it is outside the scope of the app. If it is not possible, is there any chance of it being added? Or even better, a recovery time like the Garmin watches have. The recovery time provides an estimate of how long it will take for you to fully recover and be ready for your next workout of the same intensity.
I’ve had power in all the places since watchOS 9 but Strava wasn’t showing it in the mobile app until Tuesday. If I look at my runs from Monday or before, the power graph is missing (in the Strava mobile app), but Tuesday and newer shows a graph. I thought maybe watchOS 9.1 made the difference but Monday’s run was also on 9.1. So it seems Strava decided to start graphing power on Tuesday.I think as long as you are running watchOS 9 or later, the latest version of WorkOutDoors on both the phone and watch and a Series 6 or later you should see that data in WOD and in Apple Health and other downstream systems (like Strava). I'm not quite sure how to interpret it yet but it does seem to be a good measure of when I'm working hard.
Me too. Now can only start WODHi Ian,
My action button just lost function. The action button can start WOD but can not pause or resume for the workout. Is Beta version being updated tonight?

Have you both maybe upgraded to watchOS 9.1? A couple of people have had problems since doing that so I assume that Apple have changed / fixed / broken something.Me too. Now can only start WOD
I don't know whether that is a good thing or a bad thing!Works in WOS9.2
