I know, but I don’t see an option to change path color. If you go to the phone app then Settings -> Maps -> Watch Map it has a lot of options.
Sorry - I am a coder with very little graphic design ability. The app is fantastic. I bought it a long time ago and use it almost every day for running. Thank you CFC for developing it.
The only problem I got with the app is its graphical design. I don't mean readability, which is very good. I mean it's not super beautiful and it could be improved pretty easy in my opinion. My biggest complaints are with the fonts displaying digits. They are no monospaced so each change in value changes the width of the text. They are not consistent in terms of position and size. And they are to close to field borders.
Minor issues like color palette, or cutting background of fields at the screen corner could be improved too
Still, this the best app.
This is not a problem with WOD. As you say it gets the HR from watchOS. Sometimes people think the HR works better with other apps but that is probably just random luck or in some cases because people use different apps for different activities and the activity type makes a big difference. For example running makes it much more difficult for the watch to get an HR lock than cycling. The heart rate "fix" doesn't work well for me. After waiting for the "fix" I start the WOD workout and it is then, sometimes but not always, much higher and then falls back to the real heart rate value after some time.
This is not a problem with Apple's workout app. I have reported this before in previous versions and I know that WOD gets its values from the watch, but this remains a problem for me. It almost has to be a WOD problem because the Apple app does not have this problem.
I think WOD is beautiful, but with these kinds of problems it is difficult to continue using it.
(latest WOD test version / Latest iOS / Iphone 15 pro Max / Watch Ultra v1)
Either enable heart zone alerts or enable the maximum hr alert and set it to the highest bpm for zone 2.Guys, how can I get a warning whenever I run past zone 2 heart rate?
In the future if you cannot read the heart rate then please check the permissions in Apple's Settings app (Privacy / Health / WorkOutDoors). You should never need to reinstall the iPhone app. Doing that would have cleared all the maps on both the iPhone and the watch.I had to reinstall to get heart rate working on the ultra 2. Full reinstall, removed from phone as well. Now when I download maps it doesn’t shade the downloaded regions like it used to so I have no clue what I’ve downloaded.
I plan to add the ability to create custom activity types in the future. It is top of my list after I have improved the navigation features. However the navigation improvements will take a long time...Is there a way to track distance for mixed cardio or a similar workout type? I do cross training that also involves running, but if I use the running workout its going to show way different data since I'm not constantly running vs when I am doing a workout that only involves running. Sorry if this has been asked already as I am new to this app.
Also is there a way to create a custom workout like on Garmin or are the screens in the preset workouts the only area that can be customized? Thanks for creating such a great app!
You can use Apple's File Sharing mechanism to copy the data to a computer and then back again afterwards:Is there any way to reset the iPhone and Apple Watch without losing all the routes made up to that moment?
I'm going to reset the iPhone due to problems external to WOD and I would like to know if there is a way to avoid losing data... (I have already exported the screens and profiles to import them later).
Thanks!
I actually looked into this at one point. (I'm working on a hiking app for Scotland specifically). My chat with the Strava sales team was along the lines of "You're a solo developer? Yeah, this won't be for you". I think the pricing is _insane_.Not sure if this was requested before but a great feature would be Strava live segments like available on Garmin.
Hi Ian, give them your number of users and I think they will think about it you don't have to blush !😉I actually looked into this at one point. I heard the same when I looked into it a few years back. Not priced for solo developers!I actually looked into this at one point. (I'm working on a hiking app for Scotland specifically). Oh it was absolutely a permissions issue. I guessed as much at the beginning as the HR was working fine in every other app. Everything was set to allow however so something weird happened in the transfer to my new phone. What I didn't try and should have was to toggle everything off and then back on. That might have worked. In the future if you cannot read the heart rate then please check the permissions in Apple's Settings app (Privacy / Health / WorkOutDoors). You should never need to reinstall the iPhone app. Doing that would have cleared all the maps on both the iPhone and the watch.
I hear about issues with the downloaded map areas maybe once or twice a year, so there is definitely a rare problem with it. However I have never been able to reproduce it.Oh, I got it working. I had to purge all map files from the map settings screen. Now it works as expected.
Edit: Scratch that...... it kind of works? The first box I drew properly outlined what was downloaded, then after that it stopped. That seems like an issue?
Edit 2: Seems to work at some zoom levels but not all. I can't think up a good logical reason for what I'm seeing.
It's probably better to use the Skiing (XC) workout for ski touring. Apple's workout system does clever piste detection etc for downhill skiing which may be confused by ski touring.Has anyone used the app for ski touring? Does the downhill skiing workout cope with potentially long and slow uphill walks??
No-one else is reporting that.Hi all, I may have found a bug here, I noticed for the 3 last runs I've done that I don't get alert anymore based on hearth zone.
My permissions are all ok and all the other alerts are working perfectly (I also use periodical ones on each km and speed zones) but Hearth zone doesn't anymore. All my schedules were created before watch os 10 and I'm on all the latest version iOS 17.0.2 and watch os 10.0.1.
Did I miss something ?
Please could you send me the wkt file for that workout and I will take a look. To do this tap the Export button 3 times quickly and send to info@workoutdoors.netSo fast !
Yeah sorry should have provided more details, it's a schedule with only one interval where the goal is to stay in the heart zone.
I can see the values during the run, don't think I got the haptics either but not 100% certain to be honest.
Here is the schedule:

I have already done a reboot of my AWU, may do the same for the iPhone.
