Hey! I’m having an issue where my run isn’t showing up in the phone app. It does show up on the watch. It also shows up in the Apple Fitness app. I’ve force closed the app on both devices. I’ve restarted each device. I disconnect and reconnected to WiFi. I am on the latest operating systems for each device (series 6 watch and 11 pro phone) and my app is also updated. Halp!

Sometimes iOS and/or watchOS get confused and need restarting, which you have done. However you will still need to manually re-send the workout from the watch to the iPhone now that the communications are (hopefully) working.

To do this touch the watch screen for a second and tap Workout History. Select the workout that is not on the iPhone, so that you can see its details. Then touch the screen for a second again and tap Resend to iPhone. This will be a more obvious button in the next version. I hope that helps.

That worked! Thanks so much!

I had a similar issue last week. I went out for 2 different walks last week. Both registered in the WOD app, show time and distance, but neither registered as Exercise in the Apple Fitness rings for activity. First time that has happened. I did try a restart of both the watch and phone after closing everything out and then reopening but it never ended up registering for the day.

Sorry you had problems. Do you mean that the workouts did not appear in the Apple Fitness app or that you did not get the exercise credit for them?

They showed up in Apple Fitness as workouts, but it did not give me credit for the workout (the green activity ring did not reflect the workout time). It also did not add the calories burned (just double checked that as well).

If the workout is in the Fitness app then the app has done its job. Unfortunately watchOS is notorious for not giving the amount of exercise minutes that users expect. This is the case with every workout app, including their own app. With walking it only counts if it is a “brisk” walk (Apple’s terminology) but their idea of a brisk walk is often different to most people’s idea. Sorry about that.

New update! yeeeeeeyyy!
Yup! Although I have asked Apple to release it gradually over 7 days so it may not be available for everyone for a while.

I have had one problem reported so far where the iOS app updated but the watch app did not and was still on the previous version, so please look out for that and let me know if it happens. To check that you have the new watch app swipe down to the bottom of the main menu and there should be new buttons for Settings, Map-Only and Workout History.

The user whose watch app did not update managed to fix it by uninstalling and reinstalling the watch app (NOT the iPhone app), but it may be possible by just installing the new version of watch app using the App Store on the watch.

This is something that happened occasionally with the last release. I was hoping that Apple had fixed it with watchOS 7 but I guess not. I hope that it is not more common this time, so could anyone who experiences it please let me know. Thanks.

Hope you like the new version!

Same here. Watch app is not updating to 4.3.6. But happened to me with the previous versions also.

Edit: Update through AppStore on Watch did work.

Doesn't this delete the configuration of the app and history on watch?

I had to do the same and delete them re-install and just noticed it wiped out the history and settings... but it’s updated!

Thanks for the replies. Oh well, looks like I will be getting a lot of support questions and annoyed reviews on the App Store. Unfortunately it is the sort of issue that cannot be checked in testing because TestFlight uses a different installation process.

The best thing to try is to install using the watch App Store app. If you uninstall and reinstall the watch app then you will lose the settings. If that happens then go to the iPhone app and tap Settings then File Management and then Send Yesterday's Watch Settings.

Thanks for letting me know. I hope it doesn't affect everyone!
For information, my running schedules are present on the iPhone app but no more on the watch app. There is no button in the iPhone menu to resend them. I guess I have to edit them and resend after ?

There isn’t an option to re-send all the schedules at once so you will need to re-send them individually. Sorry about that.

Is there a way to send the screen layout to the watch?

I want to make the screen look like it does one iPhone app? Its not synced.. If I want to change the screen on my AW now, I have to go into each screen on the iPhone app and make change, and then change it back again and then push send.

No possibility to resend screen-settings?

Go to the Settings tab on the iPhone and tap File Management and then Send Screens & Profiles to Watch.

Many thanks for the major update! Options overload :-D . Just a little heads up to let you know that in the iPhone App, on a 12 pro (6.1") running zoomed mode, parts of the UI gets pushed down a bit behind the page-bar at the bottom.

Wow the update is great! I had to uninstall/reinstall but was able to resend my previous configurations without a problem.

I love being able to customize colors! And to take away the countdown. Great work on an already great app.

Thanks for the update! I also experienced the issue with the iOS app updating but not the watch app. Instead of uninstalling/reinstalling I opened the App Store on the watch itself and updated the watch app manually that way. Cumbersome, but still easier than uninstall/reinstalling and resyncing settings ;)
