Sorry you are having problems. Please reboot both the watch and the iPhone and then try again. When there are communication problems between the iPhone app and the watch app then that is the best thing to try. Sometimes iOS and / or watchOS get confused and need restarting.Start playing with it and it looks nice.
I changed some workouts menus on iPhone, but it not synced to Watch - I need to change settings directly on Watch.
Also, it's possible to change order of activity menus? Currently is Run first, cycling second. I want to have Walk, Run, Hike,...
EDIT:
It seems that non settings are tranfered to Watch app. I played with walk screens and nothing changed on Watched after few tries to sync.
Thank you.Sorry you are having problems. Please reboot both the watch and the iPhone and then try again. When there are communication problems between the iPhone app and the watch app then that is the best thing to try. Sometimes iOS and / or watchOS get confused and need restarting.
Glad you solved it. In terms of Apple Music you can configure the app to show the Now Playing screen in response to a gesture. To do this touch the watch screen for a second and tap "Settings" then "Commands" and then "Shortcuts".Thank you.
I already solved it. I need to open Watch App with activity screens and then change them on iPhone. Now it works great.
Now I'm looking for some music integration with Apple Music - I have set auto play custom playlist with stock Workout app.
Thanks for being a long-term user of the app! Track detection has been suggested a couple of times over the years but not often enough to be high on my list. It would be relatively easy to detect the start/finish line (if the GPS signal was strong) but, as you say, the very different way of tracking distance would be probably require changes throughout the app.Hi @cfc been using the app for years, running, hiking and nordic ski mostly. It is absolutely brilliant in its configurability, design and rich functions! Love it!
Ever thought of having 400m Track Run as an activity? Sure there are apps like LapTrak, but they seem to miss the idea of running on 400m track with Apple Watch.
I would love a tracker that would assume the each lap to be exactly 400m and only track me crossing the start/finish line. Of course, this would require me setting the S/F line location point before starting the run. Use case would be something like:
- Start by selecting 400m track run activity
- Go to start/finish line of your track and set the location
- Select one of the preset run lengths (e.g. 10.000 meters etc)
- Go to respective starting point on the trak (S/F on 10k ; 200m mark on 5k and 3k etc.)
- Start run manually with 3 sec countdown
- Announce on each S/F crossing lap number, time, lap time, laps to go, hr, estimated finish time ...
- On final finish line, autostop the run
Now I know this is pretty much against how tracking works in all fitness apps, and quite a big feature to develop. Just wanted to throw this out here and ask if you have ever thought about this or heard an app with this feature. There are those made for car racing, but they surely do not measure hr or cadence

It's a bit similar to the "mile post" functionality where you would be able to correct the distance when you go past a sign that indicates the number of miles or km. That is also on my list but not very high, so I may add both features at the same time at some time in the future.
Sorry you are having problems. Please reboot both the watch and the iPhone and then try again. When there are communication problems between the iPhone app and the watch app then that is the best thing to try. Sometimes iOS and / or watchOS get confused and need restarting.Hi, I am trying to import a GPX route from the iPhone to my Apple Watch but I cannot do it as I used to do.

There is no momentary vertical pace field partly because no-one has ever asked for it, and partly because it would probably be too inaccurate. The barometer only reports elevation to the nearest metre; so unless you are travelling vertically very quickly or use a very long time window then it would be far from accurate.Hello!
Two questions,
1. I wanted to add a data field for momentary vertical speed while walking up a steep hill, but couldn't find any under elevation, so I assume there either is no such option, or I need to get an eye exam. Would it be possible to add? I'm thinking current vertical speed in meters per second or feet per minute. I'd like both those units to be an option.
2. **EDIT** I solved this issue. Had to turn on the "Only use Running, Biking or Other" in the export settings. I tried to import tcx files exported from WorkOutDoors to the Garmin Connect web interface (which by the way is one of the worst examples of UX design I have seen recently, what were Garmin thinking?), but I am met with an error:

I have tried multiple workouts, and I have tried renaming to a file name without spaces just in case their programming, like their user interface, is also a couple of decades behind, but no luck. Garmin Basecamp can't import it either complaining is not a valid GPX file. GPX exports do import just fine. Is this a known issue?
Only when it is ready...Ian, please, give us a new beta with stryd
I’ve just received my Stryd and I made my first run with it today!Only when it is ready...
It would be fun to have, but I understand that the sensor may not be accurate enough. Garmin does offer it, though I'm not sure if they do for all activity types and on which watches, I know the Fenix 6 has it for climbing. I have no idea how accurate it is. I can just use my Garmin eTrex for vertical speed even though it may still not be accurate, not a big deal. There is no momentary vertical pace field partly because no-one has ever asked for it, and partly because it would probably be too inaccurate. There are "Elevation Pace" metrics for the whole workout, the current lap, the current interval, the previous lap and the previous interval. This is because those metrics use long enough windows to be meaningful, but the one metre resolution precludes a momentary elevation pace field.
Glad you found the setting for exporting to Garmin. For some reason they only accept 3 different activity types in TCX files, so this setting is required to convert anything other than "running" or "biking" into "other". The app doesn't convert by default because then it would restrict TCX files that are sent to other systems. It is a bit surprising that Garmin don't correctly handle TCX files given that they defined the specification for TCX.

I don't think anyone has asked for that before. There may be systems to which you could export the workout that could then analyse it and tell you the fastest 5K that it contains. Does anyone else know of a system that can do this?Is there a way to view the fastest time on a certain distance? For example today I used an interval schedule warmup / fast / cool down with manual timing, and for the fast interval I ran a bit more than 5K. So now I'm wondering if there is a way to view what my fastest 5K time was today.

With Strava it’s only visible if it’s in the top 3 of your PR’s right? Maybe I’m looking at the wrong place or is this behind the Summit paywall? And strava
Yes, Tempo does exactly what you are looking for. It's a beautiful workout log app that integrates directly into Apple Health (and nothing else). Is there an app with that functionality (check fastest time on a certain distance) that connects straight to Apple Health without uploading data to the cloud or requiring an account?
