while I appreciate some of the gimmicks, many of them have already been available on Android devices for a long time.. But when other big guys are talking about how to conquer an alien planet, Apple appears to be stuck in tribal skirmishes..

They’ll do everything short of just admitting that the best iPad OS is in fact MacOS.

It definitely would free up some redundant development resources but I imagine having multiple forms of App Stores is too profitable.

Screw the rest… iPad OS 26 is fire!!! Wow what an improvement! Actually looks like a proper computer OS.
Okay. They finally made iPad OS really good. They held out on the features for years.

The iPad gets closer to the Mac, without becoming one.

iPadOS updates are legitimately interesting. The improved multitasking and file management gives me hope for the future foldable iPhone.
Good God just let us play multiple audio streams at once.
