I have my Z2 since a week here in germany and it's the best phone for me this year. I had the M8 before but the cam has bothered me.

The Z2 is perfect for me, it has no real weak points. Great Build Quality and Design with a awesome Camera.

Lucky you! How is the display and sound? I know the camera is awesome!

Display is even better than on my M8. Very rich colors, deep blacks and nice whites (You can also change the white balance in the settings menu).

The speaker is good, better than on my old Note 3 but worse than on the M8. The sound from the M8 is more detailled.

Battery Life is perfect, after a whole day with more than 3 hours screentime i have 50% left at night.

How does it feel compared to the M8, size wise and ergonomically? The M8 is a little bigger than I would like, but the curved back and corners make it comfortable to hold. As I'm in the States too, I can't check it out in a store to see. Those were really my only concerns with this phone, that and Sony's skin as I've never used it before.

While I'm very happy with my M8, it would've been nice to have had the choice of getting the Z2, on paper and online it seems like a beast of a phone, and I've always really liked Sony as a company, all my TV's are Sony, my hone theater is Sony, and I have a PS4.

I have both the M8 and the Z2. The M8 actually feels easier to hold because of the shape but it's too slippery. Sony's take on Android is pretty close to stock and is a no nonsense (no pun intended) device but I actually enjoy using Sense 6.0 more.

The camera however on the M8 falls short and doesn't even come close to the Z2. The waterproofing and mahnetic charging on the Z2 is a plus. And finally in terms of battery life, the M8 performs a little better but not by much as both devices have fantastic battery life.

My friend how will you compare battery life on the z2 with the Note 3? Are they equal or the z2 is giving you better battery?

I would say z2 has better Battery Life, especially when you activate the stamina Mode on z2.

I average 6hrs+ onscreen time with the Note and only on celular data, the screen and the good battery is keeping me with the phone but the z2 looks very interesting and I might have the opportunity to get it at proper price but I can't keep both due to I just won't use 2 phones and resale in my country is not good since people don't really buy expensive stuff on the street specially phones.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the international version have the correct LTE bands to work with Verizon? I haven't really seen anyone having tried sticking a Verizon sim in it yet...I'd be curious.

So out of all the top end phones of 2014 Android phones, the Xperia Z2 has been my favorite thus far. It's a shame that it doesn't get the exposure it deserves in the USA

Unfortunately, outside of people who post on forums like these I don't think anyone even knows that Sony makes cell phones. Which is a shame for sure.

I saw one in the store yesterday, it's a really nice phone, but that bezels....
This would be the only weak point with this phone for me.

I have owned Z1 for about 8 months before I switched to something else.I've seen the Z2 at the sony store last week. I must say I'm disappointed with Z2..It almost looks exactly like the Z1 .in fact when the sales guy had a hard time in figuring out the difference between z1 and z2. Screen looks a bit sharper..but nothing significant enough to upgrade IMO

Anyone heard of this site before?

http://www.33price.com

They are selling the Z2 for a respectable $745, but I have never heard of them before. Their parent company seems to be registered in New York...

I have been trying to find a Z2 for cheaper than the $800 on Ebay, it isn't much cheaper but it would be something if they were for real.

To be fair, the Z1 was a very good phone. The Z2 is Sony getting the jump on Samsung etc.

I don't quite understand why Sony haven't partnered with a big network in the US. Is it explained anywhere?

So I finally pulled the trigger on the Z2 on Ebay, paid $763. Also bought a T-mobile sim kit from Wal-Mart to take advantage of their $30 5 GB plan. Will take some pictures and post my impressions when it arrives this week.

Can't wait to hear your impressions. I'm still just starting to put my new Z1 Compact through it's paces and will share my first thoughts on it shortly as well.

I had the Z2 for a few days, loving it!

My only complaint is Bell screwed us out of the Noise Cancelling Earbuds and I wished it had an IR Blaster.

BTW, being a IP57 I love that Sony has has the Magnetic Charging Ports so you don't have to deal with cover flaps when charing and worst risk breaking like with Samsung Galaxy S5.

Agreed, love being able to just drop my Z1c on the charging dock--essentially just like wireless charging.

Just got it an hour ago, box contents:

A little disappointed I didn't get the dock, but the noise-cancelling headphones sound very good.

I also took a shot of my current rotation:

I will post some impressions once I use it a few days. I'm thinking since I'm using all these phones I may make a few video reviews eventually, maybe they will be useful to someone.
