I have had every iPhone since the beginning and every iPad and Apple Watch. I love Apple and want to continue to do so. You sound more like a troll to me and you think you know it all. Think what you want and go and bully someone else. To others on here thank you for your help over the years . This forum really helps others out and there are many like me who come here and value your views.

Your comparison pics show a very drastic difference so it would be nice if you post a pic which shows that true tone ist off (or on) on both phones and there is no active color filter. Thanks!

Here is another example, but with True Tone on.

Someone can pickup any of the new iPhone 12 series now? In a week? Stock is empty in every country.
Not sure if it is pandemic-related...I think its sometning else...

All 12 series phones have 1 day shipping in India I think. Check Apple.com/in

I received my second iPhone 12 Pro Max today. Same yellow tint issue, but different serialnumber, display and production date. Flickering on black videos is slightly better. The G9N Display is little bit more brighter.

Left iPhone 12 PM: F2LD serial, G9Q Display, 2020/11/01 production date
Right iPhone 12 PM: G6TD serial, G9N Display, 2020/10/18 production date

Which color do you have on the iPhone PM?

Your pictures reflect my experience with True Tone off with my 12 Pro Max against my son’s XS and my 11 Pro Max from last year. On mine, the difference is amplified significantly with True Tone on. Oddly, in direct sunlight and in the evening with only artificial light, my 12 Pro Max looks excellent even with True Tone on. It has a warmer balance than the other two, but it appears more accurate. It is in mixed lighting situations that it really struggles.

I had screen issues with my 11 Pro Max last year - uneven display and very yellow - with my third replacement being perfect. Because my 12PM has just about perfect uniformity, I am reluctant to play the screen lottery this year. I may wait until the new year, try one AppleCare replacement and just live with the current screen if the replacement is not better.

For additional reference, my 12PM is significantly warmer than a 2020 iPad Pro, 2017 iPad Pro, 2019 21” iMac, two LG monitors, one Viewsonic monitor, an iPhone XR, two iPhone 7s, and an LG OLED tv calibrated to a fairly warm setting. Those are all of the other screens in our house. In ordinary times, I would compare it to display models at sever local Apple stores, but I am not willing to take that risk during the pandemic.

Thanks for the detective work. Does not look like the newer November phones are any better.

The regular 12 (not Pro) has been available for next day pickup or delivery from my local Apple store for about 2 weeks now. The Pro is the one with late December delivery dates. I did read an article that said that Apple expected more demand on regular 12 than the Pro and made plan accordingly. Now they are struggling to get parts to increase production on the 12 Pro. The article explained that they were even planning on shifting parts from the iPad Pro (i think the mean the lidar sensor) to the iPhone to try and meet demand.

This 100 percent for me as well. Overall my launch day 12PM screen F2LDL has similar behavior. At times with TT off the screen is too blue, and at times with TT on it is too yellow. Overall the screen is not nearly as cool as other screens in my household.

It's hard to explain, but it's definitely not as egregiously yellow as @Robita's yellow screens. Anyway I'm on the fence as to whether or not my screen is truly defective or not. I may try to swap it once all the dust settles as well.

Both have a warm / yellow tint, yes, but in the first photo, it looks like your new one has a little less green tint, which I think is supposed to be the main difference between G9P/Q (Samsung bad) and G9N (Samsung good) displays.
