Same thing with the one I got. I actually am on my second. The first had some weird depression that was definitely something that happened during manufacturing. I returned that one outright without even getting to test yellow issues.

The second is yellow in the bottom left. I can calibrate the display to make that area white, then the rest of the display gets a blue tint to it.

I'm done I think. I'm not playing Apple's display-lottery game. I wanted to go back to Mac, but paying $3200 for a machine (with applecare and taxes) is just too much to not get a perfect machine.

Cannot agree more, i have done the same. I am on my 4th replacement with creaking problem in ALL of them. I want my money back! Its going back tomorrow.

Mine's going back. I just got it and just called apple. The screen is a bit warm compared to my 2012, but more than that the temp isn't even throughout the screen. The top is warmer cooler than the bottom. The top right is a bit red.

You're kidding right? Most of the pictures people post it's pretty hard to tell, but his I definitely see yellowing on the bottom.

Yep. Bottom part of the screen is yellow. Looks exactly like the screen of my rMBP.

Ordered my 2nd replacement today which has just shipped from China this time, instead of locally like the previous 2.

Fingers crossed for true whites, no yellows and no IR.

Not that I'm holding my breath mind.

If you see very deep yellow... return and/or replace it.
If you think you see blotches of yellow, or parts of the screen yellower than others... return and/or replace it.
If you think you might be seeing some super light yellow filter if you pay close attention, calibrate and keep it.

With my display, I thought I maybe saw some yellow filter, calibrating it actually came up with a profile that made the whites maybe whiter. I think its really a personal observation/preference thing.

I really dont know why apple sells computers knowing that kind of issue, again is so bad.

for desigers like me, color management etc... is so important and that kind of thing affect the work.

Call up and demand a replacement. Get angry. Tell them about this forum. Worked for me, although it's too soon to see if my replacement is any better. Should be arriving on the 12th.

I agree with this. It seems the LG Screens are the keepers this year. No IR issues on my 15" with LG screen and is bright as can be. No yellow in sight.

If I recall from other posters, ghosting wasn't apparent until a couple months in with the LG display. You can't know until your out of that 14 day return period. LG is also susceptible to yellow blotches as some users have reported.

Yes, I can imagine that in some countries it is difficult to get a replacement. I would suggest that you wait for Apple to get these issues sorted if you cannot return easily. Many of us are having to go through multiple replacements.

What is funny is I have noticed anyone complaining about LG seems to be in the rMBP 13" category. The 15" ones all seem to be happy with theres.

What may be funnier is all the Macbook Pros in stores around me have only the Samsung on display for all the 15'' models. They all look great.

My estimated delivery date was today but UPS lost my package

So now I have to wait an extra day. If it doesn't come tomorrow or it does come but has a poor screen like my first one I'm going to be seriously angry.
