Unfortunately the BeWeather 2 widget got broken since the recent update of the 4th of January.
Certain details (new days, last updated) are no longer showing up in the widget although selected in the app.
I'm having this on both iPad mini2 and iPhone 5s.

Both Widget Weather (1.99 euro/dollar) and BeWeather2 (2.99 euro/dollar) updated/fixed their apps/widgets and are now also fully iOS10 compatible woohoo :) Both are almost perfect now.

Widget weather:
+ can set to not use GPS (saves battery usage)
+ shows today + 7 days ahead in widget
+ can choose between two forecast agencies
+ can show small rain bar for upcoming hours although not per minute like e.g. Dark Sky - US only or e.g. Buienalarm widget - NL only)
+ you can set the update interval
+ a lot of options (icons, colors, info to show in app/widget)
- lacks percentage chance of rain (does show mm though)
- you can't switch locations in the widget

BeWeather2:

+ shows both rain percentage and mm of rain for next three days
+ you can switch locations in the widget
+/- has a minute by minute rain forecast however only works for mainly US (e.g. not in the Netherlands)
+ a lot of options (icons, colors, info to show in app/widget)
- doesn't show rain mm for upcoming hours (does show percentage though)
- can only show today + next 3 days
- can't turn off the use of GPS
- you can't set the update interval

I also heard a lot of people about Weather Line that also recently added a widget to their app but in my opinion the widget looks really limited if the screenshot and desciption covers everything.

How do you set Widget Weather not to use the GPS... is it just switching off location services or there an option inside the app settings?
Although, I am not currently using BeWeather, previously I read on the forum that it allows you to add specific locations and when you launch the app, it updates weather info for those locations only without requiring the GPS for current location, that was a big plus point. Is it changed now?

There is a simply on/off switch in the settings of the app to do that.
Another great feature which I earlier forgot to mention but just added is that you can also choose the update interval as well which is also a real battery saver but still get the great weather updates :)

Oh..yeah... the GPS setting is the first on the top..in Settings, and there is also App Settings under Settings and also Widget Settings. This is so far the most informative weather widget.

The BeWeather2 update looks great. Now to see if the temperature badge and lock screen notifications work properly...

I guess the free version of BeWeather hasn't gotten the update yet (if it ever will).

No it's strange that they didn't update their free version in ages (March 2015).

I did notice that the paid version which just got updated still is broken though as far as the widget is concerned it cannot show anything on my iPad mini2 running the same iOS10.2 as on my iPhone 5s while other weather service work fine. When I open up the app itself there is no problem.

I did also notice the other widget weather app also has problems to show up in the right column of the notification center on my iPad mini2 but it does work on the left though.

One thing for sure, the Apple App Store has an abundance of weather apps...LOL . I still like BeWeather2 as my go to weather app...

I prefer standard Weather app built in to iOS 10.x however the only issue i have is the widget part does not display "suburb" . only city... even with "Location services on"

Prefer stock weather app but it needs notifications when weather changes. Also stock weather app should be available for the iPad

Weather Underground is my favourite. It has a graph of expected temperatures and temperatures for the past day. It locates the nearest weather station within the city and there are multiple ones within the cities. It makes for more accurate current temperatures and conditions as well as forecasts. Living in Canada, sometimes I find that certain weather apps are very inaccurate. I can tell that with some weather apps, the forecasts are ridiculously off. Weather Underground is one of the most accurate weather apps for my area, Metro Vancouver.

I'm a fan of Weather Underground as well. It's one of the few apps that also can show the National Weather Service forecast as well. I wish their widget was a bit better though--if it would show the forecast a few days ahead it'd be quite good.

WOW, that Partly Sunny widget is nice!

Anyone else not getting the rain amount chart in BeWeather BTW? It's not showing up in the app or widget (but I have it enabled), but it's definitely showing up on the Dark Sky website.

Yeah, I've never seen it either. Perhaps it might be tied to location services being in use (as I don't let the app use them and just specify a location)?

A few weeks in & im enjoying Dark Sky. Way better than stock iOS weather & Yahoo Weather. It's very detailed, yet clean looking.

reg weather app is fine for me, dunno what the problem is.
More details, especially for upcoming forecast. More information available in the widget and the ability to use the widget without location services. Just to name a few things that can be lacking for some people.

Here(-ish)
For me, it's all about accuracy, so I check http://www.forecastadvisor.com/ for which weather provider is most accurate for my area. Then I see which app utilizes that service and has the best UI.

I'm currently using AccuWeather for forecasts, and I have DarkSky hidden back in a folder for precipitation alerts.
