ZooGue iPad Case

Tim here is some advice

On your youtube channel change the layout and colour a black background with neon green text looks a bit tacky. Also i hope when your product is for sale you dont use a blogspot website but get a proper website going.

Have you decided how you are going to retail it ? , will you try and get apple to sell it in there stores or will you create a eBay account sell some on there or maybe amazon.com.


$39.99 seems reasonable just wonder how much postage to UK is it. :cool:

Retail wise we have many potentials right now one of my good friends reps products to many different chain stores, like Best Buy, Target and others. These chains stores are kind of a hassle to deal with so i will have all my products in a distribution center so we wont have to worry about all the shipping and warehousing and we can focus more on sales. Also Buy.com, Amazon, Ebay, Ecrater, and some others. After the next trade show we will be selling much more to overseas Distributors. Shipping im not exactly sure yet, im aiming for less than 13oz so that domestic shipping would only be a couple dollars first class usps.

Yes to be honest i think that $39.99 is an unbelievable price. This will not only please my customers but also let my competition know not to mess with me hhaa.

Awesome keep up the good work man , I'm really tempted to buy one of your cases once I've seen what it's all about , so how come may 27th seems pretty far away. Does it just come in black

Great to see that you are so passionate about your product. Consider me a potential member in your target group of customers. I’m looking for a conventient, easy to use, high quality, premium case for my iPad (which I hopefully will get soon…). It doesn’t need to be cheap as I’m willing to pay for quality.

I looked at your video, but must say that I was not impressed by your prototype. The stitching is definitely interesting but the thing that put me off is the logo and the choice of leather. The logo is too big. For a device that costs $499 upwards, I personally would expect an understated well crafted piece of leather with (if necessary) a nice small logo. I like the embossed or stamped style. Rubber does not belong on leather.

Now for the choice of leather. If you are targeting high quality or premium market for a good price, than you might want to consider using brown leather. Take a look at the products on this page http://www.gabbiano.net/thebridge/ to get an impression of what I’m talking about. I’m not saying that we should all look like Italians, but they do know how to dress and design leather products. Brown leather oozes much more class, sophistication and quality than black leather. It is a similar as the difference between black leather and canvas bags.. Or Canvas and Neoprene. Basically the hierarchy in quality (and cost) is this:
Brown leather > black leather > canvas > neoprene.


I’m not bashing your design, because form factor wise with the stitching, it’s very nice. But the color and logo need some work if you want to target Apple customers. It’s a good thing that you are here, because the girls and guys here are your target audience. Use their feedback and others around you to optimize your design. Do not get arrogant and "different than the rest" does not always mean "better".

Mifi Card Slot Please

I am trying to convince someone to make an iPad case folio that has a legitimate pocket for a MiFi card. So many of us are using iPads with MIFI but no one has made a case. Why not be the first, Tim?

Well, he said that he can deliver that kind of quality for a lower price, so... I personally don't believe a mentioned brown leather case is possible for anything less than $79. But I'm prepared to be proven otherwise.

The Hard Graft felt case has a pouch that would hold sim cards etc.. The case is actually designed very nicely out of high quality felt and (yes :)) brown leather...

Their site is off-line, but maybe you will find some pictures with google images to get an idea. I own a Hard Graft MBP sleeve that is really great quality.

Thanks for the suggestion. Although I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for. I guess what I would love is for a case exactly like the official apple case but in brown leather. able to tilt up for typing and everything. unless i missed it, i don't think casemate sells that.

Despite the fact that it is leather, has logos plastered all over it (a bad one at that) and the website takes me back to the early 2000s it looks like a good case...
