Emoji keyboard listed after update to version 3.0 with IPhone 2G

after doing the upgrade the other day I now have the Emoji keyboard listed under the Japanesse keyboards. However I noticed on my girlfriends 3G Iphone does not have the Emoji keyboard listed after the update. Does this only appear in the 2G Iphones?

It only happens to people who have enabled emoji. It doesn't matter what phone you have.

I swear that the photo album now remembers your last place. Nice for albums 1000s of photos long!

Most useful feature to me: Entering an address in Calendar/iCal under Notes and clicking on it goes to Maps. Previously, I had to make a new contact with the address each time I added an event to Calendar so I could have the address linked to Maps.

In the voice memo application, you can use the headset button (the ones supplied with the phone) to start and stop recording

re: ability to delete phone numbers in the call logs

Personally I've never once cared to do this. I have never even thought of this to fathom when it would even be useful. Clearly *YOU* find this important, but I would hardly consider it a must have. Point is, why are you voicing a wish to apple on a macrumors forum? This is not where Apple takes suggestions. Apple has a feedback site for iphone on their own website. Go there and suggest!

Might be useful in deleting girlfriends phone numbers in your call log in case your wife takes a look at you phone...not that I would know...

I dont know if anyone saw this but now VPN icon is showing after the clock and not after the wireless icon:

By the way I don't see a "Never" option in Autolock. Maximum is 5 minutes...

The lack of "Never" in Autolock may be controlled at your company or MS Exchange level. My company requires autolock for security reasons, and has "removed" it somehow from my options on the iPhone. My wife on the otherhand, has this option as she's just on a POP3 email system.

(This has been there since at least 2.2)

1) When plugged into a stereo for playback, the volume bar disappears so that all control is given to the stereo.

2) Like iTunes for your Mac/PC, the App Store now asks "Did you mean" when searching. (I think this is new)

1) Was presiouly found by a user and is on the main hidden features list on page 1 or page 24.

Didn't read the whole thing but was wondering if this was new:

~If you click and hold on an email or on a phone number it gives you many options (see picture)

I might be wrong, but I have never seen these notifications before if you move out range of your only approved wifi connection. After I taped cancel on the first notice, the second.

This isn't a hidden feature (so you're in the wrong thread) nor is it a feature (still wrong thread) and this is front page news, so we ALL already know that.

WELL, I have never seen it before until I updated Beejive with push, hence why I posted it

to quote your sig: who pissed in your corn flakes this morning?

Hey... Maybe you're right but I had this iPhone and the same Exchange address from 2.0 and it never removed the Never option. But I also saw that other people (mostly with iPhone 2G) have the option so they can select (also my colleagues that use the same Exchange Server)... It's strange :)

Scrolling Contact Name

Dunno if this is new, I stopped reading after page 33 or so.

But I just called a movie theater that I had in my contacts and has the full movie theater name and when I was in the call I noticed the whole name scrolls back and forth when you're looking at your phone where it shows the contact you're calling.

Not new

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but when you're making an on the go playlist, it grays out the songs you've already added. Previously, it would just leave them black which would make me wonder if I had added them yet and I would end up with duplicates.*
