other than the williams i don't really like any of them so far. the renault and mcclaren would be #2 and #3 ...

the mcclaren, if it were all orange, would have given the williams a run for it's money. but, just like their power plant supplier, they have dropped the ball....

That orange on the mcclaren is ugly. Looks muddy instead of bright. Yugh! Be interesting to see what the benefit of the "vestigal" wing on the Ferrari and the Mercedes. Sahara at least has a good paint job. The Renault, interesting and at least we'll be able to pick it out easily. The Merc has the best paint scheme...as usual. Can't wait for the first race but I fear that this season like the ones before will be a Merc parade with no one else in the mix and no passing. I hope I'm wrong.

Looking forward to testing this week. Hope we see a closer field. Of course it might appear that way, just to find out the Mercs are running at 75%!

There's not a lot you can read after these practices, but Vettel and Ferrari must be pleased with their times.

McHonda had an oil issue or something. 29 laps is not so good.

Also, Mercedes owns the total lap count because both drivers are running each day.

Good number of laps from Ferrari. Of course how much Mercedes are holding back is the unknown. Lets hope Bottas can up his game a bit.
Issues for McLaren and RBR don't fill me with confidence. Didn't they have battery problems before when KERS was first introduced?

Testing is always a complete unknown. It really annoys me when journalists try and place predictions when most teams are not posting competitive times but running a shake down of the car and learning about tyre behaviour etc. A couple of years ago when McLaren got their Honda power plant I read how they were in good shape and sandbagging. Unfortunately they were just crap. We'll know more at the end of Q3 in a few weeks time :p

True. I also know the teams hold back aerodynamic parts at the launch and the testing to prevent copying.
But at least we're burning rubber!

If they're holding back parts from testing how do they know they're better than what's being used in testing?
