Preordered a Jet Black 7+ 256GB last Friday and received the confirmation email at 8.13 still no indication as to when my phone is going to be sent out, bit annoyed that there's been no communication from O2, all the live chat people can tell me is that I have indeed ordered a phone and everything is in order (whatever that means!) o_O...

I ordered the 7 (non plus) 128GB Matte Black and received confirmation at 8:14 on Friday. The O2 website said when I ordered that I would get it on the 16th, but none of my confirmation mentions any date (the usual from O2).
Not heard a word from O2 since, Im sure when I got my 6S last year, I got dispatch notification on the Tuesday and received on the Friday.
The O2 website now says there is a 2 week wait for the phone I ordered so Im getting a bit worried its not coming on Friday now. I expect we'd really need to have tracking info by 5pm tomorrow for us to receive on Friday (unless they have totally screwed up there systems)!
Speaking to O2 is pointless, I guess Ill just have to keep my fingers crossed!!

They're useless, theres no info anywhere on any of my documentation on how long it will be before dispatch/delivery. This is the third time I've ordered on preorder day but I don't remember it being this bad in previous years! To be fair think there were two weeks in between last year though rather than just one so more time for them to get everything in order. Yea mine is saying up to six weeks on O2's website now, like if it's not delivered on Friday that's fine tbh I don't think there are any black pluses anywhere in the UK but I'd rather have some vague idea of when I'm going to get the phone, don't think that's too much to ask!

What did you order and when was it expected? Order updates don't normally happen till tonight late evening / tomorrow early morning. But I won't expect deliveries that were ordered when it didn't say you'd get it tomorrow to just suddenly start moving.

I pre-ordered the iPhone 7 Plus in Rose Gold (128GB).

On the final page after completing checkout it said it'd be with me on Friday September 16th. Ordered around 08:07am.

Haven't been an o2 customer for years (Vodafone for the last four) so not sure what kind of time scales to expect etc.

Yeah for the 6 and 6s they sent me a DPD email at exactly 6:38-6:39 in the morning. I'm not sure when they sent the text as I deleted them but it could've been the night before.

Thank you for that. I'm at work until 7am and am hoping it'll come sooner rather than later because tonight will be my ninth night in a row and I need some sleep LOL.
 
Presumably, due to the system O2 put in place to ensure their online store didn't get overloaded, those who ordered when it was saying delivery tomorrow are almost certain to get them tomorrow as they would only have put up for sale the number of phones they were guaranteed to be getting from Apple?
 
Just had another web chat with O2 to see what they say. The response was "it might be tomorrow or could be when we have stock".

I was on O2 chat for nearly 30mins, only to be told that because my order is click and collect that they can't give me any information. Been trying to ring the branch where I'm collecting from but they never answer their phone!
 
Congrats! And yes, did anything change in your order status. People with new orders maybe won't be getting texts if they weren't required to give it at checkout.
 
From experience O2 send phones out up until midnight the day before so there is hope up until then!

Hopefully when I check back on here later some more of us will see movement ahead of tomorrow and the next few days.

Still nothing on myo2 but maybe that'll change after midnight tonight?
 
My order is a new customer order (Click and Collect) so I've got my confirmation email and collection code from when I pre ordered last Friday but My O2 is still showing nothing. I take it that won't update until I activate the phone.

From experience, when do O2 text or email you? It is literally when your chosen store has the order ready to collect?
 
Had a text and email from o2 this morning, only to say latest bill is ready to view online, hopefully get a dispatch one at some point today

I can confirm that NO OPERATOR is going to have stocks of the iPhone 7+ in Jet Black tomorrow, even if you have pre-ordered or not. Apple have not released them
 
Managed to get the new phone number, but otherwise, same story, no stock no info. Reckon O2 will know exactly how many orders will be fulfilled this time round, so Live Chat could probably tell you now before the dispatches are done, which yes will go on all the way into late tonight.

If they say no stock for you, then like me you'll be sitting tight for the next UPS shipment into the UK!
