Didn't make any difference unfortunately. I think I will go back to OC 0.6.3 and see if things go back to how it was before.

Edit:
Nope, same thing if I go back to your OC 0.6.3 package. Interesting. I wonder what will happen if I choose to boot from the ”MacOS - Data” volume that comes up in the boot picker?

Like I mentioned I'm also curios what this ”Update” volume I can see when I boot into Catalina does (attached screenshot). Is it Big Sur that uses it to make an update of some sort? 🤔

That's a new partition from BigSur
OK. So it's always there? Should be invisible in the Finder I guess? Maybe just because I'm booted into Catalina now.

Attached is how my drive with MacOS looks. I have the Big Sur install called ”MacOS” and a Catalina install called ”Test”. as you can see I only see ”MacOS – Data” there in the list. That ”Update” volume is also there plus a 15 GB large APFS volume without a name. What gives? 🤔🤷‍♂️😆

Like I mentioned before, maybe I'll try to select ”MacOS – Data” in the OpenCore boot picker since it shows up there and see what happens…

Edit:
Selecting ”MacOS – Data” from the boot picker took me back into Big Sur 11.1!

I think this behavior in Safari with YouTube is new for me since Big Sur 11.1, but it can be that it was there before too – I'm mostly using Firefox on my MacPro5,1:

So when I move the mouse in and out of the video like shown the playback gets interrupted and also audio stops (no audio in the example video I've uploaded, though). Don't know why that is. Works fine in Firefox, so something with Safari. Any of you guys see this? Everything is green for me in VideoProc Hardware info.

h9826790-cdf-Wiz-&Thread Experts: Newbie Questions:
Awhile back I related an issue regarding my superdrive making “Loading” sounds sporadically and panic/crashes when installing DVD Fab, wondering if it possibly had to do with open core? I have updated to OC 0.6.4. I am getting panic/crashes when trying to install ANY new programs??! Of course, I don’t know enough to determine if Open Core is involved? If any of you have a minute, please look at my crash reports from various installer panics and let me know what you think. Would be Greatly Appreciated!!

DVD Fab is working on my cMP with OC 0.6.4 and Big Sur 11.1

So, if you can't run DVD Fab, I assume you have some other software compatibility issue.

Did you try a clean installation yet?

You better remove innie and soundflower

If you need audio capture, use iShowU.

I can run DVDFab now as well but I got the Panics/Crashes trying to install??? Then the program was installed after multiple Panics??? Same thing happens with all new software installs!!! Probably not OC related, Right??? Of course, I have no idea!

Doesn't sounds like OC related.

I installed a few things in Big Sur (e.g. Google IME), and no panic so far.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure!! Any idea what is going on??
Don’t know how to do a clean install at this point- Any work around for this issue?? Hardware?, software? I sure don’t know!! Ha!

Clean install? Just run the Big Sur installer, and select a blank (newly formatted) drive as target disk.

Should I remove innie and soundflower first, then check installs?? Innie through config. and soundflower uninstall ??? Also, when I do a clean install of Big Sur can I then migrate my software to install all my programs and files??
Thanks for all of this!!

Better remove them both.

Don't migrate, test installation first.

If you want to, then migrate your software if the clean Big Sur works as expected. At least, if the problem comes up again, you know that's one of your software.

Additional option 2: If you have a flashed Thunderbolt 3 card, you can install that in slot 4, then enable Thunderbolt 3 support by doing this.

I was wondering if you used the flashed Titanridge with windows 10 and if they're compatible? Thanks!

I have a flashed Alpine Ridge.

But I don't really use Thunderbolt equipment, therefore, no way to test if that's actually works in Windows.

AFAIK, once flashed, the behaviour reverted. Therefore, the card can work natively in macOS even from cold boot. But need macOS's handshake to let the card work in Windows (via warm reboot). However, I haven't really tested if this is true.

Ah does sound like the reverse of what I read before when the titan ridge needed a Windows boot to allow it to work with macOS.

So it's probably more hassle :(

I just activated the thunderbolt card and move my SAS RAID card to slot 3 and replace it for the Thunderbolt 3 card to Slot 4.My two SAS CARD RAID don't appears on Catalina's desktop with other system hard drives.

Before that, Catalina was capable to show this external RAID perfectly.

Somebody with the same issues ?

Thanks!
Running all fine finally!
