I stumbled across this recently. It looks fine, but I’m wondering if that’s because the color red is part of the company’s branding? So it gets a pass (in my eyes, at least).

Thoughts?

(Still haven’t figured out Apple’s rationale, btw.)

Did not think of that, I just purchased a new P51 Thinkpad with the Xeon processor and it is blows my 27" iMac away for sure.

Cool!

I have a new X1 Carbon and a growing pile of other electronic devices that all match, mostly unintentionally but I must be choosing them for a reason. Even my matte black iPhone 7 fits right in.

Then Apple released this watch right when I was ready to update my S0.

As HRH The Prince of Wales might have said, like a monstrous carbuncle on the face of a much loved and elegant friend...

I can't sleep and it caused me to break out in hives! Just kidding, I kind of like it and I can't even see it really as the digital crown faces away from me

I also cannot believe the amount of complaining, and even those opting for the GPS only version of the watch where available solely because it doesn't have the red dot. I don't even know it's there. Who cares?

Sometimes I think it looks ugly. After having my Series 3, I kinda want people to notice though that I have a new watch (from SS to SS Series 3), but I think nobody sees my red dot :(

The way I wear my watch with the crown and button facing away from me I won't be able to see it anyways that's when I eventually get my Series 3 LTE Watch.

Really doesn’t bother me at all, on the contrary i love that it’s there to show that i have the best and latest gear

I only wear the black fitness band, the one that came with series zero. So the red dot isn't a problem for me. Also, on my left wrist, I can't really see the dot.

I do however, think the red dot is in bad taste. Particularly if your watch is not space grey. If I switched out my watch band the red dot would TRULY bother me. There would be occasions where I would NOT where this particular watch - the red dot just really clashes with some fashion choices.

I had my watch on all day and only noticed it when I took it off at night. I was like “Oh yeah, there’s the red dot”, then forgot about it again lol

Same here. I hardly even noticed it and see it seldom.

You would have thought it was the end of the world!

My AW3 is black stainless with the black leather loop and the red dot looks right at home.

I actually do not notice it at all while I'm wearing it on my left wrist. So I'm sleeping fine. :D
