AirPods, Order/Shipping Thread

I got a notification from istock about an hour ago that a local Apple Store here in Ny got them in stock this morning and I managed to set up an in-store pick up for today so I canceled my att order.

Att did charge my card though I hope they issue me a refund automatically without me having to contact them

Mine just flipped to "Preparing to ship" from AT&T, so it appears things are (finally) moving. But I may have done what you did if I didn't want to wait 3-5 days for AT&T to refund my money. At this point if it ships out today (which I hope it should), I'll be glad this whole thing is just a week's worth of ship time to being over.

And I'll just stop trying to get brand new Apple products from now on; they just can't seem to get a production stream that lets them keep up with demand anymore. Makes me almost *wish* for the days when you'd just line up outside an Apple Store early and be one of the first to get your item. :/

Yeah that's great yours is preparing for shipment , reason I canceled the att order is that I rather have it today than wait for them to ship and know I will have the item for sure than be in AT&T's "maybe" loop, because There is little to no info known except for what their cs chat says
Plus, u ordered on Friday and I ordered on Sunday so my order uncertainty is far higher as I'm probably in the end of their list of recieved orders which is why I didn't want to take a chance with them even after all the Cs chats I had with them

My pos Powerbeats broke for the second time in 6 months. I placed an order from att last night. Got confirmation email yesterday and order received email today. Shows preparing to ship. Should I be concerned or will I be ok? I need a set to workout with and I don't want to wait weeks.

If you paid for priority shipping you should have your PowerBeats tomorrow; otherwise you'll likely have them some time this week.

Out of curiosity, since you're working out, why did you order PowerBeats and not Airpods? I ask because I'm curious, and this helps keep your post on topic.

I have the Powerbeats. They broke now for the second time in 6 months. I use them daily in the gym. First ones stopped connected. Now the replacements won't charge. Time for a change. Hopefully AirPods work longer

I gave up on PB after owning several sets of PB2 that all crapped out from sweat after running. Seemed to be a design problem. Same issue with Bose Soundsport. Both place USB connector on outside underneath. Both have flimsy covers over the USB.

Sweat seems to be the killer which is odd since they were suppose to be gym headphones. I read some have had issues with the AirPods too but I hope I have better luck with them. Hoping Att comes through now.

I ordered AirPods from Apple on New Year's Day, 2 days after you. Mine is still processing with a 22 February delivery date. I also ordered from AT&T on Friday afternoon. I am hoping one of these orders ships this week. I am leaving town on 17 February. I called Apple and tried to get expedited shipping and they told me it wasn't available for this item. I'm encouraged that your order from Apple is Preparing for Shipment. I hope your AirPods arrive sooner than it says now. Fingers crossed that I get my AirPods before I leave town.

I received a "Shipped" notification last night. They are coming UPS and expected delivery date is now 9 Feb. I checked the UPS tracking number and their current location shows as Shanghai, China. The package is also coming "signature required". Good luck with getting yours before your trip. Based on my order I think that your chances are pretty good now.

Just received a shipping notification as well. It's shipping out today. It doesn't say from where yet (the site doesn't have info, which means they probably just generated the shipping label), but it's coming via USPS.

I'll bow out of my likely far-too-frequent posting in this thread once they're in my hands.

When I saw on the app that my order was canceled I opened a chat which did nothing . He told me to call AT&T and he would stay in the chat with me. I just now hung up after 45 minutes on hold! What a typical AT&T fiasco! Now I am just hoping my Apple order from New Year's Day will ship this week so I'll receive them before the 17th when I leave town. Frustrating! Good luck everyone.

Saw my Apple Store got them in stock, so I ordered them there for pickup and scrapped the AT&T order.
