And I was wondering why I had a notification from shortcuts saying I have one automation enabled, because this shows up always after the boot. Also had to put in the password to unlock but I thought that’s one of the usual times it decides to disable Face ID.

iPhone 15 Pro Max, did not reboot or have any gaps in the charging history on any of my devices. I also do not charge overnight like it appears many here do and have my iPhone set to a cap of charging to 80% only.

13 Mini and iPad 6 did not reboot: did not need to enter passcode in the AM.

Wonder if we are getting something akin to the Springboard issue that came with iOS 11? Or maybe some app that is causing issues? I'm pretty minimal when it comes to app usage, but could be a real pain trying to find the Venn diagram down that road.

It’s all very interesting. I woke up to my reboot sound last night. I have iOS 17.0.3 on a 15PM and am seeing the same gap in charging as others.

My iPad also rebooted last night. I don't remember if my phone did or not, but I noticed and thought it was weird...

My ip15pm did too, woke me up with the ching when it started charging again and asked for PIN number instead of Face ID.

Thought it was rather odd! Latest public iOS 17.0.3.

Ive been watching this post all day, and from what I see it’s mostly iPhone 13 and newer (including pros) that do this. Seems like the SE 2 and 3 didn’t have this happen. Will this happen again tonight or soon? I guess we’ll have to find out.

I’m not sure if it’s rebooting, but I have frequently seen automation enabled notifications in the morning which normally only appear after the phone reboots. I don’t have to enter my passcode though, so it’s not a full reboot.

My 14 pro max iOS 17.03 rebooted overnight. I’m in Australia, so happened 14-17hrs before most of you in the US. Making me think it was purposely done while phones were on charge overnight.

Happened with my iPhone 15 Plus (iOS 17.0.3) while charging overnight.

Same here from Australia also & not sure if its worth mentioning mine was charging via the lightning cable.

The other night I randomly woke up and heard my phone make the sound it makes when connected to my MagSafe Duo charger. Picked up the phone and it was asking for a passcode. It seems to have rebooted.

I woke up again today and again, it rebooted. Anyone else’s phone rebooting at night? I’m on a 14 PM using iOS 17.1 b3, but it’s happened in earlier versions of iOS, not just 17.

Yes there are several reports on this forum regarding this issue that seems to happen since a few days.
