I wonder if the RX 580 is correctly identified in 10.13.4? I also want to test the alleged Hardware HEVC support that 10.13.3 added.

Yes it does. RX 560 is recognized correctly as well amongst other RX cards. 10.13.4 no long causes sleep issues with these cards in the Mac Pro tower.

Have you confirmed Vega cards no longer have sleep issues? Your screenshot is not from a Mac Pro tower and does not show a Vega GPU. Theitsage stated the high fan speed issue is still present. Therefore sleep may not work still.

I have a Vega FE currently running in a MacPro tower. Fan remains loud but macOS identifies it correctly and it sleeps/wakes up fine.

Hi ppl!

Stumbled upon this thread, while I tried to work with my eGPU Matiz w/ a Vega 56 in it. On macos 10.13.3 the system still sees it as AMD RX xxx.

Is there any way in macOS or any third party tool that allows AMD bios flash on the eGPU? Also is there any way under macOS to tweak the card performance, like gpu & memory bandwitdh?

Just install the 10.13.4 beta or wait for the final release.

Have you tried a PRAM reset? I don’t understand why it would treat the card differently as an external GPU.

Since the Update to 10.13.4 my Vega64 finally shows up correctly. Also wake and sleep works now without glitches.
Didn`t had the time for excessive testing but. Just quickly: Luxmark test went up a bit from around 26000 to nearly 28000. Trying to do some testing as soon as possible but it looks like it behaves "smoother" all in all.
Fans are up but that doesn't disturb me much.

That's great! I wonder if any of the non-reference cards have a fan(s) that is more quiet. I know the fan on the liquid cooled reference version can be replaced with a silent fan, but then of course you lose a HD bay for the radiator and there's the possibility of leaks.

PRAM reset didn't help. Tried it out of curiosity.

Still... it seems things are moving forward, even if it's at a glacial pace.

Forwards and backwards at the same time.
10.13.4 helps the constant activity thing, but it also disappeared all but one of my DP ports.
Vega FE with water. So I don't really know about the fan.

Hi, do you know the Devide ID of the Vega Frontier edition Liquid Cooled (gold)?
Having trouble with beta 1 of 10.13.4 and I would like to know if it is in the list of the supported cards.

Many thanks.

My understanding is that Vega 64 FE's Device ID should be 6863 regardless which cooler it use.

Then it's weird and I know other people as well that had trouble on 10.13.3 and 10.3.4 beta1.
Anyone else have managed Vega FE Liquid to work?
