Any news on new iMac G5 20" shipments?

all this TNT stuff what about KUEHNE & NAGEL?
on the apple site it says departs terminal 4/11/5, does this mean its on a plane/was on a plane over the weekend and will be closer to me now....... although it took till today to update to that, and still no email saysing shipped

Same with me minga, seems my iMac departed on the 4th, though I only knew about that today. No shipping email for me either, though my last few orders, I didn't get any either.

TNT still don't recognise my consignment number.

I spoke with TNT again this afternoon. They say my iMac is in Amsterdam and it should come to the UK tonight. If everything goes as planned then I should receive it tomorrow (though I doubt this)..

Garry - it seems like at least we are being told the same thing.. My TNT tracker hasn't updated either..

Maverick - if anything happens on my TNT tracking page I shall post it here..though currently it says my iMac is in China

Ordered my first iMac 20" (also my first Mac) on October 23rd, it was shipped November 1st.

The shipping status didn't change for 6 days, so I called TNT. They said it got stuck in Amsterdam for some reason. Normally it would only take 3 days.

After a second phone call the girl from TNT told me that it was out for delivery (I live in Holland) and that it will be delivered tomorrow! The actual status on the tracker page has also changed:

Can't wait to finally replace my rusty old PIII after waiting anxiously for more than 2 weeks now.

Can't check TNT yet, as they don't recognise the number, so I'm assuming they only update that when they get their hands on the package.

That probably why tnt cant recognise your tracking

ok, got apecode to work, when i look it up, i have two etas, 1 for my imac, and one for my other items. how accurate do these dates end up being. just 1 is for tomo and the other for 11th. i would prefer it to be tomo as im ski racing in edinburgh at the weekend, but know it will end up being the later knowing my luck.

my other items say - Delievered Flextronics Venray, will this mean they have been shipped to flextronics uk centre where they will sit and wait for the imac to turn up?

I don't know for sure but I would say yes, one of my items is Applecare, which has to be teamed up with my iMac and sent out to me, or as they put it: "Merge in Transit", which I believe is what Flextronics will do.

my 500g hard drive 20 incher is now in memphis, TN after visiting shanghai and alaska. if it follows my last ipods route it will go on to toronto then vancouver then back 400 kilometers east to where i am. certainly not the most direct of routes but it still has a nov 9 delivery date so i am hoping to be the first entry made by an imac with a "real" hard drive

Misteriso.. I'm in the same boad.. On Friday they gave me a tracking number but UPS didn't get it until tonight..

Should be here tomorrow (sadly, I've got meetings all day and a work dinner in the evening so I won't get much imac goodness)

yea, I've got a ton of stuff to do as well. I'm just hoping I don't miss the UPS dude. That always seems to happen. Last time I was actually home when the guy apparently came but he never came to my door. I checked online and it said delivered and I was like WTF? Apparently they just dropped it at my neighbors. Was not too happy.


I'll be pleasantly surprised if it actually does get here by tomorrow. UPS still has not picked it up from Amazon apparently.

Nothing has changed on the TNT Tracker at all ! Still says my delivery is in China (8 days now). I wonder what the point of a tracker is when it doesn't track anything !

I shall phone TNT later to see what they have to say - you would have thought the tracker would at least say it is in Netherlands now ...

Right. It's not in Amsterdam! It's not in Liverpool either though. The guy from TNT said it might be out for delivery today if it turns up at the depo - even if it doesn't, though, I'll go and pick it up from there tonight!

I've just phoned TNT and they are not sure if the iMac is in the country yet. The lady said that they are currently scanning what has come in - and they should know in about 30 minutes if my delivery has made it to the UK. She said she would phone me back in 30 minutes...

Garry - did they say yours would be at the depo tonight then and you could collect ? They are not even sure mine is in the country at this time...

Nope, they just said "it hasn't arrived at the depo yet." So I assume it's either in the air or at the airport. Either way, it should be scanned into the depo today - and the lady I spoke to yesterday said I could collect it from the depo.

Let me know if your iMac has made it into the UK.

Well now I am so confused. I've just had a callback from TNT and they now say that although the package was scanned in China it was NEVER sent ! They say that it has gone missing and never made it to Europe. They also suggested I phone Apple and get them to send me another one as my current iMac will NEVER arrive as since the original scan it hasn't done anything.

I've just phoned Apple and they are now going to email TNT to find out what is going on.

This is so confusing ! and I don't understand how they can now say they don't have the package (though this would explain why the tracking doesn't show anything !)..

Why is the shipping with Apple so bloody confusing ! As you can tell I'm not at all pleased about this ! And am probably going to cancel the order if it isn't with me by the end of the week !

Well I think I am in the same boat as you chaps! I am a UK customer, and my iMac 17" supposedly shipped from Shanghai on the 3rd, that's the last I've heard! Sounds like things are getting interesting! Do you reccomend I phone TNT? Is there a particular number? It's reassuring to know I'm not alone!

Okay. I just called again. Apparently, "as far as they can tell." My iMac is in Arnhem. The Liverpool depot received my paperwork yesterday but not the package.

The operator is pretty sure my iMac is NOT in China (which hopefully means yours isn't either). I told her that somebody else, who's iMac is on the same shipment, was told that his package was still in China ... and that we BOTH want absolute clarification as to where our packages are, why they're there and when we'll receive them.

I'm expecting a call back before lunchtime.

I suggest we just keep bugging both TNT and Apple until they sort this mess out.
