Mine now has walsh western as the courier. These guys deivered my dell monitor and in fact their tracking system is totally dell orientated?!I presume they are now taking it to UPS to merge with rest of my goods then it will get dispatched from there. If they work through the night and its in the UK I'd assume there is a chance I'd get it tomorrow, if not it'll be monday.

Same here.

UPDATE

Carrier details updated for my order on apple's site, its coming with a company called Walsh Western but i cant use the tracking on their site :/

Edit: everyone is on the ball, didnt see the posts above, ur too fast

Edit 2: If you go to the walsh western website and hit the tracking link on the right, then dont enter any username and password and hit signin button, it presents you with a tracking page, enter the number in there and it gives you a lurvely message!

hey, now my tracker info says :

02 nov 06 40 69 accept scanned at EDC Apple Shanghai 03 nov 06
31 okt 06 32 55 flight departed Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 03 nov 06
27 okt 06 30 64 Departed from source Kuehne & Nagel Shanghai 03 nov 06

Anyone know what "Accept scanned at EDC" means? As shipping point it still says Apple shanghai, do you think its overly optimistic that EDC = European Distribution Centre?

Mine is exactly the same. it seems like we are on the same route :)

Ooo its been updated:

Hi!

OK, sorry for the REALLY stupid question that I'm abbout to ask, but: how can you get the detailed tracking info. I ordered on October 27th and it still says "Merge in Transit". Also the apple tracker website thing, didn't work. The only number I have is: my order: W80581307 and that didn't work.
So how do you all know that "it's left Shangahi" etc.

I ordered the 17" stock, with Bluetooth MM and iWork and a mouse mat.

I just want to track where it is!!

Ohhh... I only have the 8 digit order number. I'll wait until it says shipping then. Sometimes, i'm too eager.

So what's my order doing now?
If it's not shipping then what?
I'ts been like this for 7 days!!!!!

What configuration did you order? If it is standard configuration, my guess it won't take that long. Ordered mine on the 31st, received shipment acknowledgment yesterday (the number with 80 prefix) and I could track it down where it is now .. Call and chase them and check it is not payment problem or otherwise you'll be waiting forever.

Mildly amusing

I meant to post this yesterday but forgot. A rather amusing update appeared on my status page yesterday morning. When I say amusing, I mean, I leapt up and called home to see if it had arrived, then spent the rest of the day hoping it would arrive, then found out the truth, that it was still on the way. This is what I saw:

Estimated Delivery Date 01 Nov 2006 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 02 Nov 2006

Clearly not on schedule lol. Jst checked again, its still shows this, and is still with walsh western, needs to get to UPS now, looks like it will be monday before I get my MBP.:(

Things seem to be moving, albeit slowly...I think mine is roughly where Aly's was yesterday:

02 nov 06 86 14 booking slot obtained Apple Shanghai 03 nov 06

Looks like UPS won't have it by the weekend, I imagine it will arrive from the continent to Flextronics @ Daventry today for sorting & merge, and get sent off to UPS hopefully for Monday, and perhaps I can pick it up Tuesday.

To be fair, the lady at the apple store said I should contact UPS on Monday, so her advice looks to be spot on - but I was hoping :D

Slowly is indeed the word! I'm not sure wether this delay is due to the free shipping or due to the merge in transit. The free shipping seems to mean they use as many cheap couriers as possible to get everything to UPS or TNT.I'd imagine the number of change overs is slowing stuff down. The merge in transit won't help; it'll take time to get everything together in the one depot and then send off in the right direction. I would have paid for delivery if I thought it would be faster, but we don't even get the option.

nice one guys, congrats. looks like mine is 1 day behind yours, so perhaps monday will indeedy be the day :)

and yeah - i'd have paid for shipping (or at least considered it) if they'd told me about such an option. But I'm not sure whether it would get it out from china any quicker, i get the impression that up until it hits EDC, its just part of their standard suplly chain

Isn't 12 Nov is on Sunday? Don't think they'll do delivery on Sunday .. Mine has the same estimated delivery date too but surely not on the same shipment as yours .. the last status on mine is:

when i put my 10 digit 80 number in to apecode i just get no info at all

any ideas?

Did you get the Shipping confirmation email from Apple? I think the apecode tracker doesn't work until after its actually shipped, and can sometimes take a day or 2 to update itself.
