sax: thats excellent, buddy! When I spoke to them on Friday, she said it was scheduled to arrive "between Monday and Tuesday, but Tuesday is more likely, as UPS will shuffle it around overnight". So perhaps our toys will leave Daventry today, hit UPS and show up on Tuesday after all :)

Sax, did apple say which tracking reference we can use to track the progress, and which website we can use to do so? ie. the 80xxxxx, or the RTML, or the web order number?

If your tracking seems to be stuck on either the 2nd or 3rd of November, ring Apple or TNT immediately for an update of the situation. dont panic, your MBP has been shipping, there has just been a fault with the tracking system.

I rang TNT and it seems as though my MBP went through Frankfurt on Saturday, yet online and SMS still seems to say that its in Shanghai. Ignore the only tracking and ring them, and they will give you p the to minute updates on where it is. I'm hoping to receive mine tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest (ETA is for Wednesday). There seems to be alot of people having trouble with the tracking system from TNT.

My Apple Tracking ifo has finally changed. I now have:
05 nov 06 30 10 departed direct Apple Shanghai
03 nov 06 86 14 booking slot obtained NLAMS07
Its all very enigmatic isn't it? A simple "here's where your stuff is - here's when you'll get it" would suit me down to the ground. My number doesn't work on TNT, should I ring them?

I gave them a call and all they could tell me was that the order is set to arrive on Monday the 13th.

Originally it was meant to be with me on the 9th, so I'm a bit annoyed. Waiting this long is horrible, when it's so close to being here.

Are you sure that your entering the right number on the TNT site? You want to enter the consignment number (Which should begin with a 2) and not the Reference number.

Wookyhoo, apples dates are generally more acurate then TNTs. I would stick with the apple date, and if it changes, they will change it.

The 9th and 13th are the dates from Apple, so I was originally hoping it would arrive on or before the 9th, but I am now resigned to the fact that it probably won't get here until next Monday.

On my shipment status page I don't have an assigned courier yet. All the info I'm getting is from the Apple Tracking page. How long does it Apple to tell you who is the courier? ETA is the 10th and it was shipped last Monday

i live in South Wales, UK and have ordered a 17" C2D MBP, it has not shipped yet and my shipping date from Apple is 7th, i hope to get it by Friday 10th although my delivery date is Tues 14th

If it ships on time what are my chances of getting it this week?

What are shipping times from China to UK? or to Wales if you live here?

If it ships today or tomorrow, you may just get it on saturday, but I would think it would be more like monday or tuesday next week. Just a Guess.

Jan08, if you look on the apple order status page down the left hand side, you should see 3 different numbers. The top 2 are your order reference numbers beginning with W, then next one is your shipping reference number what should begin with 80, and the one next one is your consignment number. If it was shipped last monday, you should have recived a consignment number last tuesday. Your consignment number should begin with a 2 if im correct. Right at the bottom of the left hand side it will say what carrier its coming with, and this will either be TNT or UPS (generally only UPS if you have ordered something else from the apple store that doesnt ship from china).

Chaslam, cheers for your help mate. Unfortunately, I only have the top 3 numbers. No consignment number or carrier firm. This is all its ever said:
In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly

Mine shipped on 27 October, and the apple webpage only just updated mine to say the courier today (nov 6). But the courier is K+N, which I think is the supply chain carrier (China > Europe), not the people who will actually deliver it, UPS. So whether the info I have is final, or will change again before final delivery, I do not know. for what its worth, I had a delivery date of 9th but now says the 3rd.
so who knows?

But if you want more info, take you delivery ref (the one starting 80xxxxx) and put it into http://www.apecode/appletrack - you might get some extra info there

Sax, and others on the same batch as me:

A chap on the apecode forums who seems to be on our batch reports that it should arrive by Wednesday.

Not as good as Tuesday (still hoping) but beats Thurs/Fri!

My order status has been stuck like this since Thursday.
03 nov 06 32 05 Flight Booked Apple Shanghai 08 nov 06

Calling Apple didn't tell me anything more helpful other than he estimated the delivery date would be a day later, and I wouldn't get the UPS number untill the day before.

Just called Apple and I'm with UPS, but inputting the tracking number isn't working yet. Looks like my Friday ETA is going to be accurate, which isn't great at all. I'm off work all week and wanted to play with my new toy.:)

OK, at least thats good to know that I'm using the right thing. I've tried a bunch of different numbers and come up blank...wasn't sure if its cos it hasn't hit their system yet, or if its cos I'm just a dumb@$$ :D

They gave me a 1Z number, albeit one which isn't working.

oh jan, that 1z number never worked for me either....when it gets to a certain level of progress, that number will disappear completely and an icon / button called "Track this shipment" - I dont know why its important, because it doesn't tell you much and isn't particularly useful.

After a few more days "carrier details to be updated shortly" will change to the courier name, and give another reference...which also doesn't seem to be much help. Towards the very end of the long, long ordeal :)D ), when the shipment has finally been passed to UPS, you will be able to use your "80xxxxxx "number (as found in your shipping confirmation email) on the UPS website. But it takes UPS time to receive & update their website....its entirely possible you'll have your 'puter before its visible on the UPS tracker.

To see where its at in the meantime, take the 80- series number and put it into the appletrack on apecode.com.

I see the same, well, says truck at final destination...I assume thats Daventry & not UPS. My 80* tracking code is not working for UPS yet, does it show for you?

Yay Yay Yay! :D

Mine just arrived at the EDC.

I think there is now a *slight* chance that I get it a day early (which will mean Friday rather than next Monday).

Tuesday - Taken from the EDC
Wednesday - Items merged in Daventry
Thursday - To depot near shipping in address
Friday - to Me!

At least, I hope it's something like that. :)
