I currently have a hardly working old SE, batter problems, have to charge twice a day, but can only dream of upgrading with even the basic new SE at over £400, that's more than ½ month pension 😩😩
If they don’t have 120hz on the 6.1, then nope.
Consider paying for a new battery if you’re going to keep it another year. I did that with my X last year. Was well worth the $69. 👍🏻Same here. 120hz and 5G were main drivers for me.
I have an Xs at 83% battery health...I do a lot of gaming on it.
It’s kinda funny because the “redesign” is basically “hey. We’re gonna use a recycled iPhone 5 frame with a notch!” It’s not some crazy rethink of how phones are supposed to look. It’s hard for me to get really excited over it. I actually think the current design and the curved edges look better and feel better in the hand than squared off edges.
And 5g I just can’t...my xs max gets speeds rivaling my home internet. And all I do is watch some YouTube, look stuff up and reddit. So 5g, especially in the first iteration, won’t even be noticeable to me. Like what...it’s gonna load the same YouTube video a split second faster? A YouTube video already loads in 1 second for me.
And then...what? Lidar? I have that on my iPad and never use it. Camera? I can already take pics good enough to blow them up and get prints. Battery? It’s supposed to actually be smaller this year. But maybe it’ll get more hours? Idk.
I feel like we’ve kinda peaked with phones and if I kept my phone for a few more years it wouldn’t even be noticeable
Lots of people are probably thinking that way esp. in this CoV period where many people are watching their finances.I'm not buying another iPhone until the one I'm using doesn't work any more
I'm not buying another iPhone until the one I'm using doesn't work any more
That is the attitude I‘m really trying to have. It’s so far from the upgrade every year mindset I’ve had since the first iPhone, but I AM working on it.
I wish I had that type of willpower to not upgrade. I never buy anything expensive except an iPhone every year and an iPad every 3-5 years. It’s just something about unwrapping the plastic on a new iPhone.
