Something like this will not hinder taking picture as it’s all aesthetic. If it does bug you, return and buy new one.Maybe i have a dent here on my 13 pro but im not sur it’s very strange!View attachment 1846855
I spoke with a supervisor and they are sending a replacement out to me. It may take a month but I won’t have to be without my phone so I am happy with this resolution.@Pinkdaisy I think you can call Apple Support and they will get one on order for you and let you use that one until they can send a replacement if you live that far away. I lived 92 miles away from the nearest store when I think it was an iPhone 4 I got on launch day that was damaged. They sent the replacement and I sent the damaged one back once I got the replacement. I remember them looking up the distance to the nearest store to see if I qualified. This was a while ago.
That’s great news. You shouldn’t have to had dealt with this to begin with, but that is about as good a resolution as possible given the current situation.I spoke with a supervisor and they are sending a replacement out to me. Thank you. I agree. If I wouldn’t have pushed to speak with a supervisor they wanted me to send the phone back and wait for a replacement and have no phone. That’s great news. I think you have to accept a $1,000 damage iPhone now quality control has slipping for years. And supplies of these phones are gonna be short for awhile . Welcome to the new Apple unfortunately 😕🙁If anyone is paying 1000$ for a phone and you get something like that just get a replacement if you payed for a car and the windscreen was chipped you wouldn't accept it
Return it stick with the 11 for nowThink I have a mark on my camera lens not sure what it is. It’s on the top left camera not on any of the other cameras. Pic was taken on an iPhone 11 sorry for the quality if anyone could help me. If you zoom in you should see it.View attachment 1846705View attachment 1846705
If you have added Apple Care+, you can request a express replacement. Apple sends you a new phone and you send back the other after you receive the new phone.
I would not sccept damage on a brand new $1000 phone.

I see nothing wrong.Maybe i have a dent here on my 13 pro but im not sur it’s very strange!
I was told, by Apple, that if even I purchased the phone from the Apple on-line store I could take into the physical Apple store and exchange it.What happens if you just buy the phone from the Apple store and it comes messed up scratches etc can you just go back and get it replaced there and then ??
This one right here would have to definitely go back for me. It would annoy the absolute HECK out of me for days on end.Yes mine is. I am not happy at all. So far the option is to mail it back and wait for a new one.

This is exactly what I have, same place and everything. I only noticed it because it can catch the light. I tried to clean it with a damp cloth and discovered it wasn't dust and instead appears to be a scratch or paint chip. If there were any Pro Max in stock near me I would get a replacement, but alas. I hate how it shows even with Apple's leather case on it.I have a small scrape in the stainless steel band right next to the bottom left antenna band on the edge that meets the screen. I took a fine tip permanent marker and colored over it. Now it doesn’t shine when the light hits. I really don’t want to go through the hassle of getting a replacement
It's sad that this still an occurrence from 2 generations back .This is exactly what I have, same place and everything. I only noticed it because it can catch the light. I'm curious - what kind of permanent marker did you use and did it leave a much darker mark? I would like to try and make it less noticeable but I don't want to make the problem any worse. If you have a chance, could I possibly see a picture of yours? Thank you!
Yea it’s unfortunate. I had a dead pixel on a new iPad Pro in May and that was a disaster to get swapped out, but I had to, because it affected the functionality. After several supervisors they finally sent me a new one before I had to send the defective one back because I was studying for the bar exam and had to have it.It's sad that this still an occurrence from 2 generations back .
The gouges marks as you state catch the light. I had this with my current 13 PM and 12PM when viewing the defects under magnification, they appear to be deep gouges to the frame edge closest to the edge of the glass.
Supposed Apple has not addressed this manufacturing defect. Some conspiracy theorist believe these sort of marks are caused by the device being opened at some point. I'm not so sure, as the 12PM gold was still gold colored where the gouges were. Which indicates to me that it was damaged before coloring of frame. My 13PM pics attached. Yeah, that's terrible in regards to waiting on the high capacity model that you require for education and such.Yea it’s unfortunate. The scratch on the steel rim of this iPhone isn’t as bad as that (and yours are worse than mine - attached picture), but aside from stock issues I’m also on the ATT installment plan and I don’t even want to know what a disaster returning and replacing it would be. Sucks because I bought a high-capacity model and will keep it for probably 3-4 years. Wish there was a way to cover it up. I wouldn’t even be as frustrated if it was on the backside and I couldn’t see it every time the light hit it.
Yea it is bad luck... I bet average consumers frequently received damaged products though, they just don't inspect them or care.Yeah, that's terrible in regards to waiting on the high capacity model that you require for education and such.
I share the exact same sentiments about wishing that the defects were on the back side area.
What are the stats of me receiving same frame damage that I did on the 12PM and the 13 PM. I wish I was lucky in other avenues in life. 😭🤣
Which other guy ?Yea it is bad luck... I bet average consumers frequently received damaged products though, they just don't inspect them or care.
I'm really tempted to try and cover mine with a fine-tipped permanent marker... I really hope that other guy responds with what his looks like.
Someone must have sneezed very hard on the assembly line! 😂🤣Yes mine is. I am not happy at all. So far the option is to mail it back and wait for a new one.
jags828, who said this earlier and was the original person I replied to:Which other guy ?

Not sure why this is funny….Someone must have sneezed very hard on the assembly line! 😂🤣
It’s going back. Going to take until then end of October to be replaced but I won’t be without a phone. This one right here would have to definitely go back for me. It would annoy the absolute HECK out of me for days on end.
