i think it gets pro-rated, oh wait, anything over the 12 month gets pro-rated, like i got a partial refund when i went from 7plus to X

I remember that disaster last year. Lol. The whole reservation thing. Not even knowing what was going on. And the emails for it being delayed for a while. Fortunately, it worked for me but it seemed like others didn't get as lucky.
This year release was very easy for me. Ordered the Gold Xs Max 512 gb using the Apple upgrade plan. Set to pick up on the 21st at 8am.
I wonder when our phones will go into preparing for shipping, for those of us in the US.

My card was charged this morning with a shipping date of 9/21. Anyone else been charged yet in US?
So what is the process to go to your UPS Service Center to pick up the iPhone X next Friday? Mine is literally 10 minutes away and we are going out-of-town Friday evening, so it would be nice to get it earlier in the day to get it set up! Any risk to doing this? Thanks in advance!
Once you have the tracking info, use UPS My Choice to change delivery location, choose UPS location, select the CC location, and then it will be there ready for you right at 8am!

Yes and it shows (currently) on my bank website. Last night I got an alert about the 'hit' when I ordered and then the actual charge came at 3:32 am MST. Still 'Order in Process" though. Not expecting any movement before Sunday really.
I think as long as you hold when you can track on mychoice, you’ll be good. Knock on wood, I’ve never had an issue nor have I seen anyone here have issue going that route. But if you’re able to be home to accept the package, that sounds great.
When did you order? What is your date? I know somebody who ordered 30min past and still got 9/21 delivery. In past releases that did not happen.

I bet sometime this weekend, then, we'll have the maddening, hang-wringing wait for the status to change to Shipped.
My order went through at 3:10 est for an SG XS Max 512GB on the AT&T Next program for store pickup on the 21st and I paid with Apple Pay but I still haven’t been charged. Has anyone else who paid with Apple Pay already been charged or not?

My order was in by 12:06 and my date is 9/21. My friend ordered at 12:35 and still got 9/21. Hopefully Apple really nailed down their supply chain, although I think your chances of an early delivery are slim.

I’m really interested to see how the XR launch goes. I would guess a combination of Apple preparation and XR interest have made this XS launch so smooth.

In hand, it felt incredibly narrow to me. So much-so that typing was a challenge. I returned it last year and ended up waiting for the XS Max. To each their own.
Yeah. Though not physically narrower than the Plus’s.. (the display) for some cockamamie reason Apple chose 1125 as the pixel width (same as iPhone 6/7/8) rather than 1242 of the Plus size phones. This is why the keyboard width of the X felt thinner. It did too me too. But I’ve adjusted easily after being a 7+ owner.
I am a deeply dedicated one-hand operation iPhone user. And the more than 6 inch plus phones simply don’t work as one-hand devices for my hand size. The 5.8 is the perfect size for me.
