My Xs Max setup was a breeze, but if they make a model with landscape Face ID next I’m in, and I’ll see you again next year.

Otherwise I’m not sure what it’ll take to get me to upgrade before 2020.
I love this upgrade! the camera is mad crazy! I'm sure they will bring landscape screen with upcoming updates! Enjoy the phone.

I live in Hawaii, preordered on the 14th with the Friday 9/21 delivery date. Thursday UPS sent the phone from China to “customs”. Friday afternoon they sent it to Louisville, KY and then they “upgraded” my delivery date to Saturday 9/22... ouch. So I wait today, and at 3pm (Saturday now) the tracking changes and my phone is now in Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong. The delivery date is revised again to Tuesday 9/25.

Basically, if the tracking is to be believed, the phone has literally flown over my house twice now.

Apple still claims my phone will arrive Friday 9/21 on the orders page.

UPS sucks! I've always had better luck with FedEx here on Kauai.

My phone is currently in Honolulu (maybe??)... Original delivery was 9/21

Does anyone have an idea how often apple store replenishes stock. I recall reading somewhere normally 6am local time.

Same thing is happening to me, from 9/21 to 9/24, seems they sent it pack the HK, and now saying 9/25. Ridiculous.
 
When financing a phone through Apple and I want to pay 3/4 of the price up front, will the remaining balance go on my Verizon bill or will I pay Apple separate every month ? I’m not try to increase my phone bill what so ever. Thanks

Depends on deliveries. I want to say most stores are replenished via UPS delivery's. So like everyday except Sunday maybe?

If you choose carrier financing it will be on your bill if you choose Apple iPhone Payments it's through Apple and separate from your bill.
 
My tracking basically implies that they have tried to ship two phones to me, both unsuccessfully to some degree. I went to a store and got the model I ordered online. Now I have to figure out how to refuse the package from UPS. Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone tried to go the the store and buy the phone and return the one they preordered? just hate that I can get one now in the store but have no idea when I get my pre order because of UPS delay in China

Call and see if you have it marked for "return to sender". I would call Apple to do this as they are the shipper and i don't know what they would do for a refund if they didn't expect it to be returned to them without requesting a return
 
Where is it right now? And where is it going?

It went from Hong Kong to Anchorage from Saturday evening into Sunday, then an overnight message that it could not be loaded onto a plane as scheduled (with an additional delay of one business day) and no further movement since. My order was to be delivered to Southern California, only a dozen or so miles from their major hub.

At least the UPS tracking finally started giving truthful dates instead of insisting on a Friday, Saturday, or Monday before noon delivery that didn’t or wasn’t actually going to happen.
 
Mine has never made it out of Hong Kong, just sits there with no change, also the UPS is not giving me an estimated delivery date anymore but just a note where it says "Rescheduled Delivery"
 
So, for anyone whose phones were stuck in customs and are now missing (mine is still in HK) if you can find stock and they will let you buy it, it IS possible to cancel the phone enroute. I called Apple and they redirected the shipment to their warehouse. Said I’ll receive the refund within a few days of it arriving. No argument at all, it was no different than if it hadn’t shipped yet.

I was paying in full for both phones, so no idea how it works if you’re using an upgrade. I did receive a cancellation email, so perhaps it will reset your upgrade?
 
Welp, I finally had to call Apple Support last night and to have them put in a return to sender request in with UPS so (hopefully) I can get a refund on my CC.
UPS has NO idea where my iPhone is. The last physical scan, where an actual human scanned my iPhone was Friday in Louisville. There was an arrival scan in Salt Lake City on Saturday morning, but a UPS agent at the UPS Customer Center said that was a "logistical scan", meaning thats where it's supposed to be, not necessarily where it physically is.... WTF? They said for all they know, it's still in Louisville since there have been no new (actual physical, human being with a scanner) scans in Salt Lake City.

UPS and their tracking/scanning/logistics is absolutely appalling. Apple better switch to FedEx, because UPS is jus making them look bad. And they might lose customers because of UPS.... me being one of them.

Yes, finally a Louisville scan. I’m glad that Monday delivery is still looking good! Can’t wait to have a larger phone. Love my X, but Xs max will be awesome! Congrats to all those who enter their third day with a new iPhone.
 
Anyone who preordered through IUP and returned the phone, have trouble ordering again through IUP? I try to do so and it says upgrade pending. Basically it still thinks I am upgrading the phone, even though it says it was returned. I called Apple and they said to call Citizens one. I cal Citizens One and they said it was closed and it would be 24-48 hours I could reorder. Well 48 hours has gone by and still nothing. According to the App Apple is waiting for a phone that either I returned or traded in.......

Or you can just receive it and return it to the Apple store and get your money that way or go to your apple.com order and process a return that way. If you have an Apple store near you, you can just walk to the Apple Store and return them without any issues and it's quicker that way.
