The conference will be held upstairs and in the back. The main floor was very busy at 10pm last night with lots of security keeping an eye so see to it that nobody could see in well.

lol....I'm still not convinced...but I'm a natural pessimist....all will be revealed tommorow then I guess!

I won't be able to get to the Apple store untill about 6:30pm....so if they did happen to launch do you reckon thatl be too late to get one...? Or do we think stock levels are going to be adequate?

Of Course you will get them the same day otherwise the store would not be closed until 4PM. The US stores were closed in the morning and opened at 4PM. They needed to get the product up and running and the stock and displays out. Is this the same with all of the stores in London? Or is this the London Store?

I am sure that if they do launch tomorrow, they will be heavily stocked as they were in the USA. The people who stood in line wound up doing so for no reason. iPhones were easy to get all through the weekend.

Out shopping yesterday, I spotted the new edition of T3 magazine (October issue). The top right hand corner has a spoiler about an article discussing 'iPhone hits the UK'. Sounds pretty definite! I couldn't read the article as the magazine was sealed.

Have they let something slip? I guess they'd get in pretty big trouble if they had inside information, or maybe they are just acting on the rumours too.

Guess we'll know tomorrow. :)

T3 is the suckiest of magazines.

They know absolutely nothing - just guess work with a model holding a photoshopped iPhone! As per usual.

I'm just hoping and praying that 'IF' it is the iPhone announcement, that Apple doesn't forget us ROI customers.

After all we have the European HQ, but no Apple Stores here. I'm just hoping we at least get the iPhone at the same time as the UK.

Youd also think for the EU hq we would have an Apple store eh? It's a joke that we dont have one especially in Dublin!! Crazy!!

T3 is going to be blogging with a camera live from the event tomorrow.

I'm almost wetting myself with the excitement. Although I am fairly sure I'll be disappointed. I usually am with Apple announcements! I was excited about the release of the iPod Touch until I realised it was an iPod Nano Touch.

I don't understand why people are slating the 3G networks in the UK. I have been an O2 customer for eight years, and use 3G at HSDPA speeds regularly. It's brilliant - much faster than the GPRS the US are stuck with. And I have never had a problem with coverage. My town has full HSDPA coverage and it's not a major city. I guess if you live outside of a town or city, it might take you longer to get 3G, but the overwhelming majority of the UK's population will have a decent reception both at work and home.

I will be on the first train into London if they announce a 3G capable iPhone is ready to buy tomorrow afternoon! I'm prepared to take a hit on the crappy camera resolution and the inability to send MMS or record video but I won't be touching it if it's GPRS-only. I imagine the majority of buyers will feel the same. Almost all new phones in the UK are 3G. Apple would certainly be taking a risk if they didn't make the iPhone 3G.

It's got to be 3G, surely?

I'm still unsure what the iPhone adds other than gimic factor. I have a pretty bog standard mobile with 3G which I can check my mail on, and browse the web (wikipedia handy at the pub). I have an iPod nano. What will the iPhone offer me other than a touch screen interface? I've been thinking about this for sometime as I really want to love the iPhone, but I have no answer....

Readability and useability.

People I've shown my iPhone to have trouble going back to their Blackberry Pearls...

I got it mainly for readability. I scrounged up some of my old, old cell phones and the buttons and screens were bigger back then (the screens only showed the name and number though). Now with these scrawny screens they try to cram a ton of stuff onto, I think the text is just too small.

It'll be hard for me to go to anything else than another iPhone....

Funny. I looked at the iPhone and preferred the Blackberry Pearl. The blackberry unit is much smaller. the iPhone is just another big device to lug around.
