I think 1-2 hours probably doesn’t require much adjustment. But here in the US, it’s not uncommon to drive 10-15 hours just to go, for example, from the East coast to the eastern part of the Midwest. That’s you start running into difficulty due to the need to account for stops.
yeah...I think 3-4 plus hours starts getting into at least one fuel stop for some.

This has happened a couple of times today…no map showing on CarPlay…doing a hard restart.

Update...got to SC in time for my appointment, but there was serious downpours for an hour that had everyone driving 10-35 mph...so, going to see what the drive home on Sunday suggests. But Apple definitely needs to add in "stop time" to their estimates for a more realistic arrival time.
Exactly. I thought the point of a massive network was that if other users were on your route, it would use their speed to adjust the times.

It did adjust...I was initially referring to the pre-determined travel time planned more than a day before my trip. Both Apple and Google gave the same travel time, but Google adjusted the "start" time based on the arrival time I needed by 90 minutes.

At the end of the day, my 30 minute head start via Apple's start time to account for stops wasn't enough due to the rain that was never scheduled in on either app, but I also planned an EXTRA 1/2 hour on the arrival time just in case.

For those of you keeping score, I ended up adding 45 minutes from Apple's suggested time which means I most likely would have arrived 45 minutes early to my appointment if I used Google's start time (even with the rain delay).

I almost lost my mind yesterday. A notification from Maps popped up on my Lock Screen. I don't have any reports pending, so of course, I saw that notification and thought it was going to tell me Look Around is available in my area! Nooooope. It was a notification saying Cycling Directions are now available across the US...ya know, just in case you didn't figure that out by now 😂. Needless to say, my excitement faded a bit 😂

That being said though...I gave the Cycling Directions a try recently and rode around on some of the new bike/walking paths in my area (we have like double-digit number of miles of new paths that were developed over the last two years, so quite a bit to explore)! The directions and especially the elevation data are great!

We used the multistop for the first time. The thing we didn't like was apparently we didn't get close enough to where they marked the first stop, so when we left, it started routing us back instead of to the next stop. Is there any way to manually mark a stop off so it will move to the next?

Yeah...I sometimes go into a different entrance and it does that to me as well.

Just bring up the "add a stop" and then you can delete any of them manually from the list by tapping on the stop (it actually says "tap to delete" or something like that)

Thanks. I wonder if there is something on the CarPlay screen to do the same. Maybe I'll test on the way home

Actually, that is what I was referring to.

Very easy in CarPlay.

My only complaint about multi stop so far is not being able to easily pick one of my favorites after setting the initial destination.

If I pick “work” in the morning (or Siri suggests it), adding another favorite is not possible (like my favorite coffee place on the way).

I either have to type it in, ask Siri or pick “coffee” and hope it is in their POI list.it is, but what if I wanted to go to somewhere more vague like “Grandma’s House” on the way to work without asking Siri or typing in an address?

Not a big deal as there are ways around that, but I have my favorites set for a reason…that is where I’m going every day.

Completely got the coordinates wrong to an Applebees I’ve regularly gone to using Apple Maps. It wanted to take me across the road , bearing in mind it’s a 6 lane road to do U turn when I was already in the right lane next to Applebees.

Pics? Starting point? Ending point? Did you enter an address or pick from a POI list? At least a location of the Applebee's.

I seem to be missing the option in Settings->Maps to change the Distance units between Miles and Kilometres.
Anyone else seeing this?
