I mean, I will say that it’s kind of gross how wasteful and toxic tech industry is. More recycled and eco-friendly materials are definitely sorely needed. But you know this is gonna cost…

Actually, the manufacture of cow skin leather is extremely harmful to the environment in production, more so than all other materials except for alpaca wool and silk.
It sounds like avoiding the manufacture and 'wasting' the cow leather is better than the process of using it commercially.

I hope they keep the fluoroelastomer Watch bands like the Sport Bands. Those are much better and longer lasting than the silicone knock-off bands.

Good because their quality has somewhat declined recently. Time to head to Nomad for me.

Did Nomad make the buttons on their cases easier to push. I had a great looking leather case that had a acrylic bumper, but the buttons were very difficult to push, so I went back to the Apple leather.

The Apple Watch sport band is nearly indestructible despite heavy usage. I hope any replacement has similar durability otherwise I would just buy a cheaper third party option.

Did Nomad make the buttons on their cases easier to push. I had a great looking leather case that had an acrylic bumper, but the buttons were very difficult to push, so I went back to the Apple leather.

They’ll be fine with discontinuing , especially when next years Apple Watch switches to a new band format and the old bands don’t fit anymore, everyone will have to buy their new bands..

Silicone cases are the only ones I buy, they're not slippery like almost everything Apple sells.

the nike editions watches were discontinued last year and now all the nike watch faces are available for all watches. they might still have the sport loops.

the Nike watch faces are available on every AW, not just Nike anymore, I think that changed last year.
I have only bought Nike sport bands cause the holes make the band more "breathable" plus those easily dry off

Oops, I said “changed or ended” but that was probably still a poor choice of words to express the possibilities I was actually thinking about. Unlike Hermes, Nike is a brand that isn’t dependent upon a specific material for its Apple products, so I’m more inclined to think it’s just going to be a change of materials…rather than the nature of the partnership. Sorry for my lack of clarity!

I switched to the Apple Clear case. It’s super slippery in the pocket.

My partner had an Apple-branded clear case on their XS. I was disappointed that it yellowed so quickly.
Have they made any improvements in that regard?

Every year I would be enticed by the nice colours of the silicone cases, buy one and immediately regret it and return them.

There has been speculation that FineWoven would replace both silicone and leather cases and that probably makes sense.

I'm cool with it as long as they make sure to use the ugliest colors in the palette for these new accessories. The kind that will keep you in a state of depression even when you're having an otherwise good day.
