So.... Seems like ING DiBa has done enough analysis and decided, that mobile payment is relevant. CEO Nick Jue said this in an interview with the Sueddeutsche Zeitung today.

I do hope that means Apple & Google Pay!

See here: https://www.facebook.com/ingdiba/photos/a.178443632880/10156611136367881/?type=3&theater

The pressure rises since Paypal blows away every intercharge xD

But great News anyway, after the announcement of Comdirect and now Ing-Diba the DKB has to join aswell.

But my suggestion to DKB is, that they will participate at day zero without any announcement before just to have the market advancement in comparison to the other "Direktbanken"

It started on a Tuesday in the UK if I remember correctly, but on the other hand there are still a few months left in this year.

the normal pattern is: announcement on earning calls and lauchning within the next 3 month. would means within the next two weeks.

But AP in Germany is another unpredictable love story

Still, it’s either this Thursday or Tuesday/Thursday next week. The earlier comdirect t&c said: Stand: Oktober 2018

Yes, it would. But it wouldn’t make sense, since a bank usually puts the date on T&C on which the change has happened or the new feature has started.

Similar to how you if get new T&C from your credit card company, it would use a date in the future for the “Stand”-type of information. If the terms of use have been changed the date can only be the current one or a future one, never a past one.

Sure you are right. It just want to say, it is possible that the t&c are tagged "Oktober 2018" and the launch is 2018/11.

Since I'm so eagerly waiting for the start I checked the days on which AP started to get a feeling when it is more likely to start. Maybe someone did this before so sorry if it's been already done.

Total starts: 21
Monday 1
Tuesday 8
Wednesday 6
Thursday 6
Friday 0

So my hopes are high for tomorrow or Thursday :D

Comdirect seem to be quite sloppy when it comes to launching new services. Same thing happened when they leaked the Google Pay FAQs a few weeks before launch. One example: I trust Amex to be watertight until Apple flips the switch, as they have been in other countries. Some other cards that would be of interest: Santander VISA, Deutsche Bank MC Debit, Hanseatic Bank, Fidor. Anyone had any success with those?

N26 should also know how it all works, so i dont expect any leaks there.
And anyways, the chance that it will start this or next week is really high!
I bet it will start this week, maybe even today.

Does anyone know when it always starts like in the evening, the morning or maybe even at 10 AM PST so 19:00 EST?

No, it's always in the morning in that respective country. Don't forget: Apple and the banks will be in close contact to coordinate the launch. It's not a trivial process!

Support pages need to go online, the activation servers need to be linked up to the banks, the support staff needs to get the appropriate information, apps need to be updated (I assume they are already ready and Apple will then make them available once everything is ready). Next week is more likely as it stands.

No announcement, forget about it. Italy was launched without any announcements at all.
I couldn´t find nearly anything before the launch apart from the UniCredit leak. For Germany, we all know that, you are able to find a lot of trash via Google.

Boon. in the German App Store= Oil to the fire. I just checked it once again... negative! iOS 12.1 will be rolled out this month, just saying!
