The JSON-File has an update since yesterday!

Does anyone know what the PaymentSetupFeaturedNetworks parameter means?

EDIT:
The change was in SE and FI country!

I believe those are the networks that are supported (duh :p).

I looked into it a while ago and I believe 3 is MasterCard (Maestro included) and 4 is Visa (VPay included). 1 is Amex as far as I know.

I am very disappointed that DKB is probably not offering Apple Pay at launch day :( So I won't be able to add my card. Thank you DKB!

Concerning the launch of Apple Pay in Germany. When we look back to last year, Apple Pay was launched in Denmark and some other countries on October 24, I believe. On Friday October 27, pre-orders for the iPhone X started. I guess they launched it before the pre-order and launch date of the iPhone X so that Apple Pay would not take away any attention from the new phone.

So for Germany, wouldn't it make sense to either launch Apple Pay tomorrow or Thursday, as on Friday pre-orders for the iPhone Xr start. Launching Apple Pay next week, would distract from the launch of the Xr. Especially German media coverage would shift to Apply Pay instead of solely focusing on the Xr.

Thoughts?

Is the XR so important? iPhone X User, who would not downgrade to the XR. Don´t get me wrong, I don´t think that an XR would be a bad choice.

Two quick things: XR is a big deal and might become the bestseller this year!

Number two: Sparkasse will probably ditch Apple Pay and launch that rumoured QR code solution next year for iOS (and go the same route as Twint in CH). Someone else mentioned that a while back and that’s what I’ve now heard. Depressing, dear SPK...

Flip the switch @wirecard! AP on German launch day via boon. I´m totally aware of the fact that this is not twitter and that Wirecard won´t read this post.

It was me... and believe me... Bluecode is just another option! I strongly believe they switch over to Apple Pay...

If you would actually read what I posted, you would see that the PR manager of Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft, the Company behind the girocard has himself confirmed, that „Mobiles Bezahlen anderer Anbieter“ means Google and Apple Pay. This means a lot.

I was in conversation with someone on Twitter yesterday. They don't know the exact launch date but they were told to prepare for this or latest next week.

How credible is that source?
In this thread, Linsenbarth claims it would be in November. He didn't always get everything right in the past but I am wondering why he would word this so strongly.

I wouldn't be able to say. Journalists don't always know everything though o_O

My thoughts: If Apple is unexpectedly planning to launch Apple Pay Cash in Europe and the rumours for Belgium / Czech Republic in the very near future are true, we might get a small announcement on a possible October keynote and a launch alongside iOS 12.1 which makes sense for many reasons. That would fit into what Rudolf is saying. Right now anything is possible. I can wait.
Also my comdirect application will surely take a week or two anyway :D.

Whatever the exact date, I'm sure we'll be able to wait 2-3 weeks...

When were the banks published on the Apple Pay site in the past (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206637)?
On the launch day of ApplePay or a few days before?
Launch day. But remember to always check the English version (ie. today Amex Sweden was added). The translated versions always take 2-3 weeks at least.

next earnings call is on novembre 2. I would expect AP to launch before otherwise they could have waited to this earnings call for the announcment. so there's not that much time left ...

In can read the word "Bluecode" on the Powerpoint page of the Sparkasse.

So from my point of view, this will be their "solution" for iOS Users. Not Apple Pay.
Bluecode is another option and arrives one or two quarters after „other providers“. And there is no bluecode option mentioned in this Box

The only negative thing, a little bit late. But in the end, it does not matter. Products like this are long runner. Noticeable market effect will arrive, when they join the game. Not much early.
