I would be very surprised if the support of comdirect got any information, even if it starts on Tuesday next week. Way to early considering the NDA of Apple.
Deutsche Banks new update now supports the Wallet app.
But thinking about what that guy tweeted...
I mean, if comdirect isn’t a launch partner then they would probably not be allowed to announce it before the actual launch.
And why would they not be able to launch it from the start of the launch is next week? As far as we saw, they were ready a week ago when T&C popped up.
Many people talk bs nowadays. This guy, the support etc.How do you know he is lying? It could also be that the support guy combined the two infos, the event next week and the other rumors, like we did and gave his conclusion out of that to the guy on twitter in the chat.
Some people are very quick with accusations here.

There is also the possibility that the support employee was under the impression the general launch would occur next week (interpreting the keynote to coincide with AP launch), while he might only know (rumors) of comdirect intending to launch early November (as some have speculated), which leads him to the statement.
Launching November however, would deviate from Apple's process of launching AP before the subsequent investors call. While there are good reasons for announcing the launch "early" (flowing with the mobile payment push this summer; increasing pressure on banks), would Apple break their process just because of the upcoming keynote (with no indication of immediate product availability), when the initial AP announcement was made only during an investors call?
I would assume the launch is on Tuesday. Why else would the app be updated now?
And they would the go by the rule of launching a country before the next earnings call.
Wow come down. We‘re just happy to find any hints even if they aren‘t ones. If you don‘t want to read it than just wait for the launch without this thread.
as far as I remember, Spain was announced way in advance. Were really all new Apple Pay countries launched before the next earnings call?
What we have now:I can’t hear this bs about „oh my god the app got updated Apple Pay will launch now“ anymore. App updates don’t mean anything. It has nothing to do with Apple Pay. Yes they support the wallet now. Does this mean Apple Pay will launch week? No it doesn’t. It can happen next week or the week after or in mid November or he’ll even kn December. Cause Apple said later this year and as we all know the year has still a couple of days left. And a couple of days left does not imply it will really launch in a couple of days just because you guys want to read something between the lines.
Like N26 or bunq they push out an update and everyone scream Apple Pay, Apple Pay. No need for freakin updates since both of them already support Apple Pay.
What we have now:
1. Tips got updated testerday
2. DB screenshot and app update with support wallet. In case of N26 and bunq we did not discuss here too much since you have already mentioned- they do support wallet before
3. We have T&C last week for 2 banks
ofc Apple can announce Apple Pay on Dec 31 since it fulfills “later this year” threshold. However, Apple Pay country usually announces before the next Earnings Call. This happened with Brazil in March/April with Ukraine and etc.
Well Saudi Arabia argumemt is strong)))And yet not even the German Apple Pay Site is online ... now bring all your hints in line with Apple Pay in Saudi Arabia which has not even been announced yet but has a Apple Pay Site and people were even able to add their cards to the wallet.
What I’m trying to say here is that all your hints mean nothing. Cause if they would then Saudi Arabia should be getting Apple Pay way before Germany since there are/were much more and better „hints“ for a launch.
For all we know Apple Pay will launch this year so it’s what like 10 weeks give or take.
If you would look closely, you would see that the Saudi Arabia Apple Pay page is an 0815 unadjusted standard page. You can't even see the participating banks on this site. And that there is no AP Page for Germany absolutely means nothing: If you think of SE, DK, NO, FI, PL etc... they all had no AP Page before it launched. And yet not even the German Apple Pay Site is online ... now bring all your hints in line with Apple Pay in Saudi Arabia which has not even been announced yet but has a Apple Pay Site and people were even able to add their cards to the wallet.
